With over 15 years of Restaurant experience, Rob Little relocated to the Kootenays with his wife and daughter. He was successful running and consulting for many top restaurants in the Yaletown district of Vancouver; Canada’s dining capital. Now his primary focus is on bringing local flavours, and urban cuisine to the beautiful town of Nelson.

My final burger from the 2015 Nelson Star Best Burgers Weeks. Outstanding!
The Louiston comes with au jus dipping sauce to complete a fine steak-​infused burger. Crispy prosciutto plus a few other subtle ingredients created easily the richest of the six burgers I tried.
The bar also held a special surprise. Burrowing Owl Coruja 2011 is an outstanding port-​style dessert apéritif that I didn’t expect to find on the wine & spirits list. Perfect way to finish the evening. Try it if there’s any left.

The food was awesome and the staff was very kind. We came in late when they were about to close and they graciously served us. Great cocktails, entrees and desserts!!! Chocolate torte was delicious.

I think Louie’s has a lock on the market for vacationers skiing and looking for a nice meal. To be honest, I expected more. Steak was so so, which I felt like was a complete waste of calories and my 2x a year steak indulgence.

My friends and I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is lovely, you never feel rushed and they always seem happy to have you. The food is good and the drinks are nice and strong. Whenever we try and spice things up by trying another place in Nelson we’re always disappointed and end up back at Louie’s.
