The Beach Estates Inn

If you prefer «feels like home» instead of hotel, this is the B&B for you. Neil and Fran open their home and hearts to welcome you warmly and Sam, the beautiful blue-​eyed kitty will be delighted to get acquainted too, if you are interested. We especially enjoyed talking with Neil and Fran over our delicious breakfast. Since both of them come from 5^th generation Nanaimo families, they are so knowledgable about the area and gave us some great ideas for exploring. We left feeling as if we had been staying with friends.

Very nice house; immaculate and the view of Departure Bay is beautiful. I was in the Casablanca room with a very comfortable double bed; TV w lots of channels; chest of drawers; closet; side tables and huge windows out to the garden. You do share the bathroom w the other guest-​room, but I was the only one there at the time :-) Regardless, sharing a bathroom is not an issue to me.
Fran and Neil were very sweet, gracious and professional and I felt very comfortable and was able to relax at the Beach Estates. Their rates were less expensive than the other B&B close by, and the Beach Estates has way more to offer (great food; clean; non-​musty smell; no dogs and loads of PRIVACY!)…
Though all the breakfasts she made me were delicious, my favourites were the asparagus and cheese omelette and her French Toast w homemade berry sauce were to die for! She makes her own jam/​jellies and her home cooking of cookies and muffins was scrumptious… The truly make you feel like at home…
I had five great days visiting my father and spending quiet evenings here. I highly recommend this place…
