Established in 2012.

Workhoppers, the newest solution to finding flexible staff, was founded by Vera Gavizon and Linda Singer, two professionals and working mothers, who experienced the challenge of finding interesting flexible work that also required professional skills, and led to an overall career path. With 33% of the U.S. workforce working as freelancers, the co-​founders believed that an easy, safe and cost effective solution was needed to connect companies with local professionals in their own city.

The story of Workhoppers began when we got talking, over chocolate chip cookies, about how difficult it was to find quality flexible work opportunities. We saw so many amazing women around us that had these same struggles too. It would be so advantageous for companies to easily be able to tap into this workforce. We quickly realized that moms like us were not alone in this search for flexible work and that the need was huge. An entire new generation Y, semi retired workers, university students and professional freelancers all looking for the same work life balance. Workhoppers was born and we built it like a dating site. A cost effective easy solution for flexible job seekers and companies to safely get matched together. No need for a temp agency. No more commissions. Make it easy peasy.
