Parc Père-Marquette

park adjacent to père-​marquette high school, which i went to so i know all about this awesome park.
there’s 3 sides to the park itself. if you come from the north, you’ll first see the community center where you can find a pool, an arena, a decent size gymnasium (where you can get some indoor sports going like basketball, volleyball, badminton and so on), a community garden, during summer there’s a beach volleyball spot and there’s a gymnasium with a trampoline.
next up is right next to the school where you’ll find a soccer field, outdoor basketball court, a skate park, a baseball field and a bunch of hills and greens to relax or get some picnic going.
a street down and you get the 3^rd and last part of the park. it used to house 2 baseball fields until people stop caring about baseball. there’s a kids playground further south and i don’t know if they still have it but a kids pool.
i personally like the hills part because during winter, mad fun can be had. when it gets icy, so much sliding fun and a couple of closed call if you happen to slide towards the traffic.
nearby, there’s an ice cream shop, some deps, a mcdonald’s, a pizzeria and now, there’s le north end.
the park is great in itself for the simple fact that it doesn’t get crowded at all even during the really hot days

Amateurs de base-​ball et de balle-​molle ?!
Ce terrain est vraiment splendide !!
Éclairé lorsque commence à tomber le crépuscule. Le «diamond» bien nivelé est de sable et pas trop dur (ce qui adoucit les rebonds de la balle; on aime !). Les estrades de chaque côté du terrain peuvent accueillir beaucoup de supporteurs. Tous les éléments sont là pour avoir du bon temps (et, ce, même si on né gagne pas le match) ! :-)
Père-​Marquette a aussi des terrains de basketball, de soccer, un espace réservé aux skaters et une aéra ! Le parc n’est évidemment pas réservé aux sportifs; il y a beaucoup d’espaces verts et gazonnés où l’on peut piqué-​niquer ou simplement s’étendre. Au Nord de Bellechasse, on retrouve aussi un espace de jeu réservé aux touts-​petits.
Beau petit coin tranquille et accessible en auto, à vélo (à quelque 2 ou 3 minutes de la poste cyclable Boyer) ou en transport en commun (métro Rosemont, 45, 197…).
Si vous trouvez le parc Laurier un peu trop bondé à votre goût, sachez qu’il y en a un tout aussi beau et accueillant à quelques pas au Nord des rails !
