J’aime Coiffure

I’ve walked past this little spa-​like salon many times (because it’s on my street), always yearning to go in and get coiffed. Everyone sitting inside always seemed to be getting such slick, glamorous haircuts! Finally, after many bad hair days, I decided to give it a go. I knew as soon as I met my stylist, Caroline, that I was in for a treat. The time she took to give my scalp a little massage while shampooing was really nice. The espresso I got afterwards, to sip on in the stylist’s chair, was also really appreciated.
She was attentive to my suggestions, and carefully, competently and confidently crafted the cut I’d asked for. I knew she was pleased with her work in the end, as was I! It was EXACTLY what I’d gone in looking for, like she could see into my mind’s eye and manifested my vision onto my head.
Guess what? I have a new stylist to be loyal to. You know a good stylist relationship, when you can find it, is a long-​term commitment! I might even go in for a pedicure sometime, just because it’s a nice, clean, airy and spacious place to hang out in, with warm wood interior elements. Plus, it’s tucked away on quiet Gilford, the most charming street in the Plateau.
PS– no wait time! Appointments start on time! Amazing.

Loooove this place. Some of my best-​looking, most chill lady friends sent me here and they were right. The haircut is the best I’ve had, they started right on time and were done when they said it would be, and the coffee and head rub were exactly what was needed. The salon is located on a quiet leafy corner of the Plateau, and it’s wrapped in windows filling it with warm natural light. The products they use smell and feel healthy and the salon avoids that plastic hyped vibe and chemical smells that send me creeping backwards out the door. All the staff were calm, friendly but not trying too hard, easily switching between French and English around me making everyone comfortable. Hugely highly recommended.
