Bistro La Cervoise

Excellent endroit dans Hochelaga-​Maisonneuve. La carte, renouvellée chaque semaine est impressionnante. Bön choix de vins. Pour la bière cependant pourrait faire mieux.

Parfait pour un diner ! Un service rapide et leurs burgers sont très bon !
Je le recommande !!

Les frites sont également excellentes !

Absolutely horrible experience! We came in at 11:30 ordered food and didn’t get our plates until 1pm! We had even told them we were in a rush because we have a World Cup game. Top it off our plateware silverware and glassware were dirty chunks of food dried to them. Salmon tartare a No. It’s made with a crème mayo and duck confit crêpe and five little pieces of duck and rest all crêpe. So very disappointing and wasted most of our time our last day

Vraiment très bon, excellent service, plusieurs spéciaux selon la journée. Différents mets de viande sauvage tout simplement merveilleux (je viens d’une famille de chasseur)

Overall it was a pleasant experience. Original menu for a bistro restaurant. Good for beers fans. The burgers were great, i tried the sanglier one. I find the food a little too salty tho. Interesting choice of tartars.

A true gem in this neighborhood, French cuisine at its best and the price is right too! Great service and nice ambience inside the restaurant. Had the duck confit which came with lovely fries and salad for 14 $! They also have 1 $ soup with the lunch special. I have had French food all over the world including Paris and Las Vegas and believe me this place is a true deal!

Nous sommes ici pour le brunch du dimanche et nous avons commandé trois plats différents. Tout est excellent ! Très bon service et les plats sont tous succulent ! L’assiette gauloise est énorme, le sanglier est superbement cuit et le gravelax est d’une douceur exquise.

The service was fantastic. Our waiter was knowledgable and kind. The meal was delicious. The poutine was out of this world fantastic. Deer tartare, yum. Goat cheese salad, take it or leave it, nothing special. I would definitely go back and maybe even try their brunch. Seems like a good table d’hote, too. I was a bit disappointed to be told that several menu items were unavailable but after all, I would rather have fresh items. Also, the drinks were completely average. Really really good price for the portions and the quality– that needed to be noted! :)

Great meal, great deal!
Went for lunch: The best wapiti burger ever. And the best deal of awesome zucchini soup for $ 1 and great dessert of pudding choumar with grape sorbet. My husband ordered bison sausage with a very tasty bacon coleslaw. You guys need to go! Hurry!

Delicious, affordable meal. The boar ribs were generous and very tasty. Fries were great, staff is very nice, alcohol is affordable. No frills, just the right thing.

Delicious dinner. Insanely good poutine! The brunch is just not my cup of tea but the dinner I would go back over and over again. French onion soup is sweet and tasty. I love this place!

HoMa has really started to turn around and is actually starting to get some nice restaurants there. La Cervoise is one of them. This small restaurant on Ontario St. has a great ambiance and good food to go along with it.
To start I had a tomato zucchini salad which wasn’t the best part of the meal and hence the reason I took off a star. The tomatoes weren’t very ripe and the salad was a little on the bland side. The main course though was a definite rebound from the start of the meal. I had boar ribs which fell away from the bone and were seasoned with a really nice sauce. They came with fries and a choice of mayo (pesto, garlic, chili and I think there were one or two more choices). I’m a fan of garlic mayo on my fries and this one was quite good. Lastly I finished off with a chocolate mousse garnished with a raspberry coulis which was a great way to finish off a good meal.
I am a fan of this place and I’d recommend it to anyone if they’re in the area. It’s a great little neighbourhood restaurant.

What I liked:
–Their blue cheese & braised game poutine was tasty
–The décor is nice
–Good location
–My deer hamburger wasn’t really a burger, but it was good
What I disliked:
–Their ribs were crazy dry, tough and still had the silverskin on them, in short: inedible
–The crocodile bites were chewy and the batter was too thick
Will I go here again?
Probably not, but if I do find myself somehow in this place once more I will eat the poutine and warn everybody in my party to avoid the ribs at all cost.

Parfait petit resto de quartier, repas rapide mais toujours bons. Parfait après une journée de travaille d’été, quand t’as pas envie de cuisiner! Ils varient bien la viande de bois avec une bonne frite allumette et ses mayos… Service un soupçon lent, mais vite devinée que la jeune serveuse, qui a toujours gardé son sourire, était seule un soir ou sa terrasse était pleine avec quelques clients à l’intérieur… Terrasse intéressante quoique vraiment sur le trottoir d’Ontario… Je vous le précise mais l’important c’est qu’il y en ait une. Bref, bonne bouffe, sans grand fla fla mais qui se démarque par son gibier, sevice courtois et bien sur, une autre belle petite place dans ce cher Homa qui essaie tant bien que mal à prendre sa place dans le grand monde culinaire

Le quartier d’HOMA commence à sérieusement m’impressionner autant par sa diversité de cuisine que la qualité de ses restaurants … souvent à meilleur prix. Ce qui est intéressant au Bistro LA Cervoise c’est son mixte entre bistro tradionnel et cuisine gibier non conventionnel. Dans le fond c’est comme être Gaulois sans y mettre pied. Ses bières sont intéressantes… par exemple j’ai eu la chance de goûter à un mixte bière blanche et cidre avec un soupçon d’anis. Les plats sont définitivement non conventionnel du genéral tao au bison, ragoût de wapiti et saumon gravlax. Fan de gibier vous serez servis!
Il y a dessert en table d’hôtes mais comme mon ami Etienne dis … le dessert yé ptit alors il faut en manger deux! Bön ce qui nous a pas dit c’est que le dessert additionnel soit aussi bon … surtout le gâteau au fromage à l’érable. Il manqué juste une oreille de crist puis le compte est bon.

Petit resto qui né paye pas de mine à première vue mais où il fait bon s’asseoir: le résultat fut au delà de mes espérances!
Accueil chaleureux par un charmant serveur qui su nous conseiller et qui fut très patient avec la table d’à côté et sa clientèle principalement féminine
Un excellent burger de wapiti ou une bavette de brocard (chevreuil mâle) accompagnés de bonnes frites maison et une petite salade avec sauces au choix, un repas qui né vous laissera pas indifférent!
N’hésitez pas à prendre la table d’hôte avec sa délicieuse soupe en entrée et des beignets patate frits, un met succulent comme je n’avais jamais mangé!
Bien que la fameuse cervoise né se trouve pas sur la carte, on nous propose des bières locales en fût comme de la boréale, un grand classique qui a fait ses preuves.
Si vous êtes friands de viande qui sort de l’ordinaire, essayer cette place!
