I’m giving this place a reluctant three stars. It provides a clean and quiet place to sleep at an affordable price but is pretty much devoid of charm or frills. The main building might suggest a quaint Quebecoise inn but the sleeping quarters are actually in a cinderblock building in the back — the kind of place frequented by bowling and curling tournamenters. The owners are trying hard in a little tourist village that probably goes from dead to overflowing throughout the year. The Château up the road is the real attraction so the auberge must be challenged to maintain guests throughout the winter. It looks like they have a boat dock so the place is probably much more lively during the summer months.
