Excel Honda

Fancy wait area, 1.5hr fluid changes, and uncompetitive prices on routine maintenance.
Needed a MT oil change on my Civic. Here’s the timeline:
— First week of December: called different dealerships to inquire about price, finds out Lombardi Honda had the best price at $ 98.88. Then called Excel who was asking $ 113. They agreed to price match but couldn’t find a suitable date for an appointment until January.
— 2 days before the appointment: get a call from the Used Cars department (they got my information from the Service appointment) and asks me if I want to sell my car and come in for an estimate. Say what?
— Day before the appointment: get a call to confirm the appointment time, 9am. Perfect.
— 9:05am day of the appointment: arrive at «Express» Service, only one desk open, 5 people in line. Gets served and keys taken in at 9:30am.
— 9:45am: looks out the window, sees my car finally taken out from the parking lot by a technician.
— 10:30am: finally done.
Oh boy. Routine maintenance marked up 15−20% over Lombardi Honda, and inefficient service even with appointment. Fooled me twice so don’t think I’ll be coming back. «Express» is a misnomer.

The garage has the best service, Kevin helped me and answered my questions, he even told me I did not need an oil change yet and should just follow the percentage level in my car reading. They did a great job on the paint of my bumper and even washed my car inside and out. By far the best service garage for your Honda.

Beware of their lease, there are hidden costs in there even if they tell you they finance at 1% do not believe and do your homework. I was ready to buy a car but the numbers were not right as I was paying the car almost in full yet they we still charging interests on the complete car. It is hard to see this when you do not put money down as it is well hidden. When its a small amount its very visible so do your homework. They are thief’s with no answers when you catch them and just pass the buck to head office!!!
