In 1999, we had a simple idea and a desire to make a difference. We wondered why parents had to adjust their family’s busy schedules and drive half way across town just to put their child in another classroom with more kids… when in fact it was the classroom experience that their child was struggling with in the first place. We wondered…

–What if a struggling child could get one-​on-​one attention at home instead of being limited to the «one-​to-​many» teaching models used by most learning centers?

–What if we could create a «magical match» between tutor and student, based on teaching style and learning style?

–What if a tutor could develop a personalized program that focuses on rebuilding foundation skills, homework support and academic coaching?

These questions and more were eventually answered through the development of the Tutor Doctor program. Now an internationally-​franchised phenomenon, Tutor Doctor has impacted thousands of lives for the better.

History

Established in 2010.

One day, Adele Casuga, teacher & mother, looked up from her crazy life and thought «there has to be another way!» She sought a balance between her work-​life and home-​life, but still wanted the chance to empower young people and aid them through their educational journeys.

By becoming a Tutor Doctor franchisee, she’s been able to do just that.

Business Owner

As a wife and mother of three young children, Adele loves working with and helping young people. As an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, she’s seen first-​hand the benefits and limitations of both the public and private school systems. Having taught Chemistry and Physics for several years, she knows that it takes more than smarts to succeed: having the right tools and resources at your disposal can be the difference between working hard and working smart, sometimes the difference between a C and an A!

As Franchise Owner at Tutor Doctor of Central Mississauga & Toronto West, she’s put together a fantastic team of Education Consultants & Tutors, ready to help you and your child take learning to the next level!
