Don’t be discouraged to walk into this little store if you are ever in the area. Especially if you are a fan of old books. The store only carries old, used and out of print books. The owner is always in the store. Unlike the cliché librarian she looks like she was part of the ABBA group in her youth. Her long stringy blonde hair still attempting to wink the hippie look. She listens well and is very helpful. If you do happen to be looking for something you can email or call 905−271−9179 instead of making a disappointing trip. This store doesn’t really have a very orderly system(even though she will tell you it does). It’s like a collection of garage sale purchases in 4 semi tall — falling apart shelving units. The store itself is very tiny. When you enter there is a small set stairs taking you up to the rest of the store that is carpeted all the way through. Walking up you will see the help desk section where the owner sits and chats with you. She is quite helpful if you are looking for something in particular. Bringing me back to my original note; old books. If you love the smell of old books and the feel of flipping the thin small typed lettered pages along the hard covers and torn corner then feast your eyes on to the shelf to the right side of the cash register. There is a beautiful collection of old vintage books. Hard covers in dark browns and torn corners. Sadly, no Bertrand Russel. Make sure to adhere to the sign«ask before you touch» with these particular books. This would be a decent option for a book lovers present or for a vintage loving collector. xoxox M.
