Was there last night. The bartender had an argument with another patron that was sitting in the seat beside us over not being able to print a receipt. The patron was obviously impaired, however the bartender didn’t help the situation with her obvious lack of customer service. Her attitude to the«non» regular customers left a lot to be desired. At one point she even referred to my friend and I as «assholes», which got the«regulars» involved. I had just gone in for a beer and wings after a fairly stressful day only to be heckled. The argument over the receipt had nothing to do with my friend and I. Yet we were guilty by sitting in the seat next to this guy. Management needs to severely look into who they are hiring. I even left a tip for this poor excuse of a bartender. 100% classless place… stay away!

Easily one of the worst bar/pub experiences I have ever had. I went there thinking it would be similar to The Pump in Clarkson and boy was I wrong. From the moment I stepped in I knew that I made a mistake, but I gave the bar the benefit of the doubt and still sat down. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love dive bars and whole in the wall places, but this place is in a whole other category. I have had better food from a school cafeteria and my beer was suspiciously watered down. The service was not the best but I guess its difficult to stay motivated at such an establishment. This place was trying to cut corners on everything possible yet still charging standard bar prices. The Pump at Rathburn literally left a bad taste in my mouth and I was misled by the Unilocal reviews so I felt it was only right to paint this place in the correct light.

I went here once(on a Friday night) with my husband about a year or so ago. It’s a typical watering hole with a few shady characters in the restaurant and the parking lot. We sat in the upstairs section on some hard, old wooden chairs. I ordered wings — they were seasoned well and nice and saucy but I would have preferred if they were cooked a little more. I don’t recall what my husband had but what I do remember is that the ketchup container wasn’t closed properly so, when he went to use it, it squirted all over his shirt … they apologized and offered the big 10% discount. Not my type of place so that’s why we never returned.

Went here a few years ago for my friends birthday. Interesting menu but was slightly disappointed with the food. Great customer service and probably one of the best waitresses that has ever served me. She kept suggesting drinks and shots that I’ve never heard of but tasted delicious. Good time.

Great little local drinking hole. They have good wings(special for $ 0.50 on mon/tues) and decent beers on tap. Service can be a bit slow, but its pretty much the go to local drinking spot.

Visited the pump with 6 friends last Saturday. New management /menu. No more portuguese style chicken dinner. Awwww, that is a big loss. Split a club house and BLT sandwich with a friend and the club was fantastic. Juicy chicken! Mediocre BLT. New manager seems strict. Our group got told twice about things we aren’t allowed to do. Bring a glass outside /use an electronic cigarette inside. Must be a new learning curve since we are not a rowdy bunch. Hope this St. Patties day live band festivities and Guinness prizes are still on deck!

The Pump On the Rathburn is a good neighbourhood pub. Great to catch a game on the big screen TV. Great to meet up with friends for a drink. Beer selection a little boring with the usual domestic draft: Bud, Canadian, Coors, but at least they have Alexander Keith Cider on tap. 45 cents Chicken Wings Special on Monday & Tuesday after 4 pm with purchase of Beverage is a sweet deal. Just wish the Suicide wings are more deadly. Service here is friendly and fast. I guess next time when I am in Mississauga, I going to come back and have some more wings with my friends!

New management means a brand new direction and a new look for The Pump! A hyper local pub in the Mississauga midst, it’s been serving the community for quite some time. As of recently an ambitious father and son team have taken the reins over here and aren’t wasting anytime at turning this once apparent local dive into something new and exciting. Entering in there is a fair number of seating on the lower area, not to mention plenty of televisions to watch. What I really enjoyed was the raised bar area to the left upon entry. Plenty of locals boozing it up — my kind of place! I had the chance to speak with Garry, the Manager for quite some time and he was very proud to tell me all about his new menu, brand new 60+” televisions and renovations plans. Not to mention the pride and joy of the POTR Wings! While they’re aren’t the biggest wings around(normal) they do offer a variety of flavours, common for the mega wing joints with 34567890 flavours BUT unique for bars and pubs who typically only offer the suicide, hot, medium, mild and BBQ varieties. We were there on there specialty $ 0.45 wing night(Monday) and decided it would be great to sample a few favs. We ordered: suicide, jerk, thai spicy(Or sweet and spicy), BBQ and honey garlic. While they weren’t melt you face spicy what I will say is that there is noticeable effort here made in the flavours. You can actually taste the different flavours and for once the difference wasn’t just how much(or little) Frank’s Red Hot sauce was used. Definitely worth peeping and a great place to come watch the game with your friends — I’m looking forward to more visits here and to explore their evolving menu!

This is as good as it gets for a neighborhood pub! FINALLY! New management are making changes for the better! Several nights throughout the week are quite busy but not jammed. The staff is super friendly and quick on their feet. I have been going there for almost 20 years and am very happy with the changes. Gary, the manager really does cater to the customer. There’s live entertainment and«customer appreciation days». Gary never lets a patron walk in with out a big and happy«Welcome!» He doesn’t hesitate to ask his customers what they think and if there is anything that can be done better. The atmosphere is homey and lively. The food is really good pub style with really decent pricing. The wings are better for sure! This is a great local pub for drinks, food and a good time with good deals throughout the week.

Quarter Portuguese chicken with 2 sides for $ 4.99(dark meat, +$ 1 for white)?! I’m in. My dad mentioned this hidden gem to me and I decided to drop by during my lunch hour. Being a bar in the middle of suburbia, it’s very empty during lunch. I drove by after work and it was packed though, so this definitely seems like a local hangout. And why shouldn’t it be? The Portuguese chicken was great, and with friendly servers and specials like 40 cent wings on Monday and Tuesday, $ 12 all-you-can-eat fajitas on Wednesday and $ 12AYCE ribs on Saturday, I’d be here often as well if I lived locally. The rest of the menu seemed fairly standard priced, with entrees ranging from$ 7 – 18. Ambiance is your standard pub, bar seating on one side with tables spread out amongst the rest of the establishment and wood décor everywhere. I didn’t notice too many screens(though but I wasn’t paying particular attention). I’ll be back during lunch, and I’ll be sure to try the AYCE fajitas with some beers after work one of these days!

local love… is what they call it here. This bar puts almost every other bar to shame. The Egyptian chef in the back is crazy talented and makes the greatest dishes! The venue can seat a medium sized bar easily. There’s always something happening here. Ton’s of locals and 2 girls bartender here are my friends. Naturally, we have way too much beer than we can handle. They play all the sports games and fights here. The staff is really friendly. They will always refill your drink or get you a new one if you don’t like yours and/or get you extra sauce without charging you. Oddly, the food is the reason I come here. It’s SO cheap but the quality of food is unbelievably good. Unlike other bars, the place is neat and very cautious of drunken rowdy crowds. It’s an extremely welcoming atmosphere. They have the Pump breakfast for $ 3.99 2 eggs — any style hashborwns sausage ham bacon 2 pieces of toast cup of Orange or apple juice. Ridiculous. the quarter chicken with 2 sides is %5.99 ask for the Portuguese sauce over it. It’s fantastic! The salad is almost always fresh, the wings are damned good. They aren’t as big but grilled perfectly, with extra sauce on the side. Yummmm. if you’re ever here ask if Victoria is working. She’ll hook you up. xoxo M.

This again, is one of those places that I never thought I’d ever find myself in as this place is way out in Mississauga(where I’m not) and is a neighbourhood bar(of which I’m not a member) found in a strip mall. The outside looks like pretty much every other place in the strip mall and going inside the décor is plain and utilitarian as you’d expect a sports bar to be. What dragged me out here was a stand-up show I had to do, and that’s when I became aware of the intangibles that make this place slightly better than most of your other franchised sports bars. There’s a raised area designated for the main bar that houses those that prefer to stand, lean on the bar, and watch the Leafs lose. The main dining area has sight lines to several TVs so that you’re not left without the televised action either. The food is as good as you’re going to get in any sports bar. The wings are quite decent, the wrap(yes, a wrap at a sports bar) is good, though a lettuce leaf other than«iceberg» would go far in the side salad. But this is a sports bar. Who’s having salad in the first place. This place is pretty standard, but what I like about it most is the staff. They are friendly, fast, and fun and take this place a step above most other regular bars let alone sports bars. If I lived in the area, this place would probably become my local, as it currently is for others there.
