History

Established in 2014.

Swimming Edge was established by former Canadian National Team swimmers as the highest quality alternative to traditional swim lessons in the Greater Toronto Area. We recognized the need for a Learn to Swim program that met the needs of those who want more for their children. We heard constant criticism of programs currently in place and took it upon ourselves to create something better.

Today, we continue to innovate and review our teaching methods to consistently remain on the leading edge of swimmer development.

Meet the Business Owner

Eric A.

Business Owner

Eric has over 20 years combined swim coaching/​racing experience under his belt. Never the biggest or strongest competitor in the field, Eric acheived national and international success by relying on his technical skill.

Throughout his career he has represented Canada internationally, winning a bronze medal at the 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Championships. He swam on scholarship for the University of Denver in the NCAA, and was part of DU’s Sunbelt Conference Championship team in 2011. He then transfferred to McMaster University, where he re-​wrote the record books. He currently holds all time records in 10 different swimming events that include freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly.

Eric is an NCCP certified swim coach.
