The is the heart of the plaza it sits in. The Sobeys; I believe, is 24hrs has a a lot of selection and is huge… so you can find everything here. Pharmacy section is quite big and the bakery is great I have tried couple of their Cakes.

Sitting outside of the 2nd Metro that was closed on a Wednesday night, after midnight, another disappointed shopper asked if I knew if Sobey’s was open. Being new to the area, I didn’t even know where a Sobey’s was let alone if it was open or not. But I looked it up and thanks to my handy-dandy Unilocal ap, found out where it was and that it was in fact open! On this, my first visit to a Sobey’s, I took my time to browse around. I found that they had a very good selection of organic, gluten-free, and imported groceries. I was also impressed with the cheese selection they offered. I thought that they priced their produce a bit high, but otherwise found the store’s prices to be on par with or better than Metro. So guess what Metro! I found a new middle-of-the-night go-to grocery store. Sorry.

About Sobeys Staff When you find that the line ups are really busy there really isn’t anything you can do but wait your turn… A manager will NOT help you… Random staff will not appear out of no where to make your checkout any faster. On the upside, most of the people who work customer service don’t care enough to hear you complain. If you are returning something 99% of the time they’ll take it back unless its just ridiculous. If you want to complain to someone about prices, quality of food, lack of service… write a letter to the corporation… your words will fall under deaf ears… the people at the bottom of the totem pole couldn’t care less and are just counting the minutes till punch-out time. Sobeys … Convenient being a 24 hour grocery store. Has all the basic things a grocery store should have plus there’s an international aisle offering middle eastern foods/spices/drinks… Etc. I believe 2009 was the lauch date for«Club Sobeys» which is basically a points card system. Every dollar spent in store on items(before taxes) contributes to 1 club sobeys point. 750 points allows you to redeem $ 5.00 of grocery purchases… 1400 points is $ 10 bucks. You get the idea. You can also get other random things online like ipods and stuff but you pretty much have to shop there for the rest of your life to get anything good. If you compare sobeys to wal-mart, you’ll save more money buying things at walmart than you will collecting the points. Some people I find are just addicted to the whole points system thing. I guess thats just good marketing strategy for you. Ohh and like most places in ontario they charge 5 cents per bag. Customer service offers lottery which opens and closes at 9pm sharp. All cashiers offer cash back of up to $ 100 without even making a purchase!(basically better than using an ATM and saving yourself a buck and change. Cashiers accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards(Visa, American Express, Master Card). There is also a floral department and a pharmacy located at south-east corner of the store. I forget when the pharmacy is open/closes but I know when it closes they lock up the condoms so if it’s a late night and your expecting action and need a rubber… You should have been prepared earlier.

Open 24 hours, reasonable prices compared to other 24 hour groceries in the area. They accept all credit cards, even AmEx, which is fantastic if you collect points like me! We’ve found some great sales in the meat section, and fell in love with the Our Compliments apple pies! Sometimes rushing out at 2am to fill a late-night craving! Overall, I can’t complain.
