Went to go pick up some equipment from fitness depot and spotted this bakery. The décor inside is very modern and the staff were incredible friendly — greeted us right away. They are a vegetarian bakery, vegan and gluten free. Their products also do not have nuts. I tried a vegan vanilla cupcake and was surprised at how moist it was. It was nothing compared to a regular cupcake but having tried cupcakes from Bunners(downtown Toronto) I actually liked theirs better. For those with insensitives and intolerances, this bakery is a great place to check out. Their display cakes and cake flavours were also interesting — from mango to strawberry shortcake. They also deliver.

I’m so glad I went here to pick up a last minute cake for a bday party I didn’t know I was hosting. :p. I had called around looking for a nut free egg free birthday cake to be picked up 6 hours later and no one could accommodate. I saw Rashmi’s as a Unilocal suggestion and decided to drop by as they said they had cakes available. Lo and behold they had maybe 6 cakes available to take home right away. In addition they had some pastries, individual cupcakes and even single slices of cake to take home to enjoy. The cake was moist and delicious and tasted even better the next day with a hot cup of tea. Many could not believe it was egg free! I’m so grateful for them supplying special baked goods that everyone can enjoy. I will most definitely be back.

Great cakes, super moist and it surprisingly taste creamy for a dessert thats egg-free. This location is slightly hidden and is a pain to turn to if your coming the Rathburn! The décor of the shop is cute. They do wedding cakes and when I asked the cashier about the shop she said that they had a brampton location that’s been up for 50 years or so something crazy like that! This is their second location. I tried their strawberry vanilla cake and their tiramisu. Both were creamy, not to sweet and it went well with my coffee! I wish they had more varieties though. I would recommend this place for people who have crazy allergies or prefer gluten, eggs, nuts free stuff and so on.

Ok deserts. A little pricey for what you get and nothing too great. I tried the cookie and Oreo cheesecake. The Oreo cheesecake had very little Oreo flavor and the cheesecake wasn’t that great. The cookie was average.

Vegetarian, have a nut allergy, or even Vegan perhaps? Well, if you’re a sweets lover, but do not eat eggs/nuts, you should check out Rashmi’s Bakery!!! Last week, I noticed the sign off Mavis as I drove by. And guess what? I happen to pop in ON their opening day, yesterday. The bakery itself is located behind Metal Works, in an industrial strip mall, and ironically, beside a gym. :S Just by looking at their items, you’d think it was just a regular bakery, offering cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cake pops, etc. However, after speaking with who I assume was the owner, he told me about the fact that the bakery is BOTH egg + nut-free and Vegan(upon request). According to the owner, who was really sweet(ha ha!), they have had a location in Brampton for 7yrs. Being the Opening Day, they offered a coupla samples: a Pineapple Cake, a cookie with a Chocolate strip down the middle, and a Brownie. I tried both the Pineapple Cake — which was incredibly moist — and the Cookie which was good, so that prompted me to buy a coupla items to try. (Believe it or not, I’m not really a sweets/desserts person, but I wanted some stuff to take home so that I can write this review.) I also brought home a piece of Oreo Cookie Cheesecake and it was soo creamy, not dry at all… even though I bought it yesterday. And even though I have no dietary restrictions — thank God! — I’ll definitely stop in again! It would be good if items were labelled. And since they have a coupla tables set up, perhaps offer some Chai, other tea, or coffee? TIP: Easier to access if you’re driving North on Mavis. If you’re exiting and want to go South on Mavis, the lefthand turn can be a bit of a nightmare!
