4.5 star rating. I recently bought a Groupon for Magenta Studios for my newborn twins. I called to book an appointment and mentioned my groupon over the phone and the lady was professional and also went above and beyond by allowing me to arrive before the studio actually opened AND she scheduled 2 photographers to do our shoot since there were 2 babies instead of 1. Needless to say the customer service and photographers were great! The photos turned out awesome! They are still by far my favourite pics of the twins… Only downside: if you are using a coupon of any sort or promotion, they will try to pressure you into buying very expensive packages or expensive individual digital/printed shots. What should’ve cost me $ 40 ended up costing me over $ 350… Yeah… What can I say? I have a problem saying no –_– however the pictures were all in all beautiful so I really can’t be too upset about it.

CAREFUL! Be careful with promotions from this place. I received an email with the«promotion» of 1 digital photo for $ 35, I thought it was a good opportunity so my wife could upgrade her LinkedIn profile picture. I paid directly in the internet and my wife got an email to book the appointment which she did for Wednesday, the Sunday prior, she received a call at 3pm asking if she could go that same day at 5:45pm, which she accepted. I waited outside and after choosing the pictures they tried to charge $ 125 + $ 50 for a second digital image. My wife called me and when I asked why so much money they explained that they had done a different package but that they could take the $ 35 dollar I had already pay! Wow what a way to try to cheat customers! I obviously said No, and the shift manager tried to blame me that my wife didn’t mention which package we wanted and that they had already spent more studio time, so now it is my fault that they didn’t review my order! Unbelievable. I can’t say the photographer did a good job, since out of +30 pictures my wife was barely satisfied with 3 of them. They obviously have communication and system issues, so if you decide to book for a session make sure it is well understood what do you want and are willing to pay, since it’s very easy to go over budget here.

EXPENSIVE! We had our first baby and received a coupon for one free 8X11 portrait. All excited, my wife and I made the appointment, got all dressed and went in. The people working there are quite professional. We told them kind of what we wanted so the photographer was given instructions accordingly. We had to tell her a few of our own ideas and she went along with them, which was great. After the whole shoot we had to sit and wait 30 mins for the photographer to go through all of the pics and select the good ones. She sat us down and showed us all the ones that were perfect… they were! We loved them all! Then came the price… WOW! $ 50 a picture for just the digital print. What about the free 8X11? Well, for that we had to purchase at least one picture and then they would have that one printed for«free» as 8X11. If you purchase more, the price drops to $ 35/picture…and that’s a digital copy only. Good experience but definitely worth 2 arms and 1 leg or 2 legs and 1 arm. Be prepared. I didn’t expect that price at all.
