OK so Loonie Plus is your typical dollar store but…
My sister and I were on our way to a party supply store to buy helium balloons when we passed Loonie Plus and noticed balloons in their window. Turns out they sell helium balloons in a rainbow of colours for $ 0.99 each! That’s $ 0.50 less then the cheapest party store I researched. I was sure at $ 0.99 a pop (ha ha) that we would have to buy/​tie our own ribbon and I envisioned us struggling at the back of the store trying to tie a bunch of floating balloons. But nope, I was wrong. The owner blew all 16 of them up for us and tied them with matching coloured ribbon! He even made the extra effort to curl the ribbon ends and arrange the balloons nicely in their bunches.
Like I said, Loonie Plus is your typical dollar store but the friendly owner made a real difference. I now have a go-​to place for cheap and cheerful party balloons!
