Tried the salon for my first time and got my hair cut by Sandra. I did not have the greatest experience. I felt rushed, and really didn’t feel like the stylist was listening to me. She was giving me long layers and when I told her where I part my hair(on the left) she insisted that she parted it in the middle so the layers were even when she cut it. It’s frustrating now because when I part m hair the way I usually do, my layers look lopsided and uneven!!! When she cut my bangs I was not happy at all and she kept pushing me and telling me that I just need to get used to it. Now I need to find another salon that can correct it. I will not go back to this place and definitely would not recommend it to others. EDITJANUARY20 I want to change my review and acknowledge this company for taking the time to really take care of me after a bad experience. The head office and manager, Tracy, reached out to me and offered to fix my hair cut and provided me with a complimentary haircut on my next visit. I met with Tracy today and this experience more than made up for the previous one I had. I guess everyone has their bad days and bad cuts once in a while. Anyway, Tracy really took her time and made me feel valued as a customer. She was able to fix my haircut and now I am beyond happy with it! She’s actually ruined me now because I don’t think I can go to anyone else except her! Thank you Tracy and the chatters head office for making things right and giving me a better customer experience… this says a lot about your company and I am so impressed! I have already recommended this salon to my closest friends and family.

I’ve been here twice. Both mistakes !! The first, I asked for a blonde hair dye job. They just bleached my hair & didn’t bother toning it. The result was me looking like a carrot top – so horrible! && they charged me $ 200 +. The best part is all the stylist were saying how beautiful it looked … What liars ! When they see a shit job they should try and fix it. The second time I went(convenience purposes-wanted a trim before vacation & was the only place that could take me) the girl was nice and didn’t screw up my hair. She cut it a little shorter than I wanted but that’s my only complaint. Id give her a 3.5 star but because of my first experience the salon is getting a 1 star. To the point: for a quick trim when you’re out of options it’s a great place to go. However, anything else that takes more skill don’t go! They will F*** up your hair & then overcharge you for it !!! EDITING/ADDING: upon my review I was contacted by head office and asked to give my email so customer service could reach out to me about my experience. I did. I got an email offering a top level stylist to correct my hair. However, customer service clearly did not read my review or else they would have known I got the hair colour long enough ago that I obviously had it corrected by now. I said that I appreciated the offer but that I already had it corrected and that I wish this offer was extended to me when the other stylist saw how horrible my hair looked. However, the customer service rep never responded. If they really wanted to fix this situation they would have read the review in full & offered me a gift card or some other form of apology other than offering a service I obviously wouldn’t need(plus, Id never let one of their colourist come near me with hair dye and especially not bleach!!!) Instead, now it looks like they did something because there is a message on my review from the owner regarding a private message. BUT just to clear it up. Nothing was done and the lack of response from the customer service rep just infuriates me even more. If you’re going to show concern for your customers and put on a façade that your customers matter. at least attempt to make it seem sincere. First, all the stylist let me walk out of the salon looking like a carrot top & then a customer service rep from head office just ignores my email and doesn’t attempt to find another resolution.

I started going to Chatters back in late 2007, Maggie was my stylist back then. She left and I got Cecilia back around 2009. I have VERY long hair, and what I love it when I say«cut» she cuts, when I say trim, it’s a trim only! I know my hair better than anyone else, and I know what looks nice, I’ve had every style and every length. Cecilia listens and makes it looks great!

I have not had my hair done here but I have made many purchases in the large retail section. Several months ago I purchased my usual top line hair spray there and it stopped spraying properly. I was able to get it working again a number of times but finally it totally stopped. I returned to the store for a replacement and the first girl that helped me was fine but one of the managers looked at me like I was trying to get away with something until she grabbed a new one off the shelf and when she tried to spray it it would not work. I said, yes, that’s exactly what happened to mine while silently very happy it had happened to her after giving me attitude. Fast forward and the replacement starts with the same problem. I do not work in the area any more so I was not able to get back up there so quickly and purchased a new can from a different store thinking it might have been an bad batch they had at the Heartland location. Today I went back again and the girl said no, she would not replace it because it was too long since I purchased but she would give me 10% a new one. Not much of a deal for the inconvenience. Well, since I had already purchased a new hair spray I chose another product from the same line and she would not give me the discount on that one. That’s enough for me, they will not get my business anymore. There are plenty of salons that sell what I need and one is right next door to where I now work so it is not worth the effort for the silly points they give you.

I’ve gotten my hair cut and colored here a few times and I must say they do a pretty good job ! one of the hair dressers, tracey is the best I would say, she’s given me gorgeous color and beautiful high lights to match ! :) thanks tracey !! I have come to find the staff here is very friendly and mindful plus they always give you free shampoo or nail polish at the end of each service which is a great bonus(im not sure if its a promotional thing or an everyday thing) and they have a customer appreciation card where you can rack up points to use towards your next purchase. they have a lot of varieties of products they sell in the store as well, so i will definitely be returning for any of my beauty needs.

I was quite disappointed with the quality of my haircut with one of the lower level stylists, but was very happy with the quality of customer service I received after. The Chatters team made sure they did the best they could to make me happy. I would go back for hair colouring, not necessarily a cut though!

Klara at Chatters is the best hairstylist there is, I’ve been going to her for about a year now and I have never been once disappointed. She’s very attentive to my needs and wants, I wouldn’t know what to do if she was to no longer fix my wild beastly hair! =) Where was she all my life??? lol
