I kind of love this store more than anyone should love a big box store. I even registered here and happily spent hours skipping down the aisles scanning things. Ahh, good times! So as far as I know, this is the only BB&B in Mississauga. It seems like every city has one and I’m always as far away as possible from the location. But, I make the trek because I love it. In terms of registering, it’s crazy easy. You go in, tell them you want to register for your wedding/wedding shower/etc, they take down some info, give you a scanner and set you free. You have access to your list online where you can edit it, but also see what has been purchased. After the wedding, you have the option to come buy whatever wasn’t purchased from your list for 15% off. We didn’t do that(because it’s a pretty expensive store to be honest) but the option is there. During the holidays, they have a nice little Christmas décor section and even a teeny tiny Hanukkah section with some lovely candles for the menorah. But those hand-dipped lovelies are expensive! They really do have everything for the bed, bath, kitchen and you know, beyond … My only qualm is the prices but that’s the same of any store that sells bath/kitchen/bed stuff. They also sell a lot of weird«as seen on tv» stuff, but it’s easy enough to avoid if you aren’t interested.

This is another big box store in the Winston Churchill and 401 area and this is one of the many in the area that specializes in house wares and house décor. This is one of the newer additions to this location. Similar to Home Outfitters, they spam with you with a flyer with a 20% off coupon to shop for any product in their store. This enticed me and I decided to take a look at this particular store over the Home Outfitters and Superstore nearby. This store is fairly large and aisles are well spaced. It’s also very clean and there are a fair number of associates walking about so it’s easy to grab someone for a question. When I started to look about, I noticed how this store separates itself from it’s competitors… their stock. A lot of these things here are from infomercials and they’re all low quality kitschy knick knack. I was so surprised to see things like the banana keeper(keeps your banana from being bruised in your lunch sack), a specific brush for washing asparagus(I guess the usual method of vegetable brush and water doesn’t work), and a boiled egg dish to hold it so you can eat it ‘properly’. The prices here are aligned as the commercial prices(aka… overpriced!) I would say half the inventory is similar to these useless kitchen ‘tools’ and the other half are normal basics. The quality of the normal basics seem to be not great. The towel edge’s are not cut clean and I can see these fraying easily. The kitchen storage containers have sharp edges so I wouldn’t buy these if you have a kid. Overall, I would say the store quality of the normal stuff is a bit lower than the higher end brands you can find at Home Outfitters and they’re not as affordable as the Superstore. Even though the coupon got me into the store, it couldn’t get me to line up and buy something. They seem to move the line quickly until a return happens and they get stumped… the one particular associate looked so confused.

If you want your house to smell awesome, then this is the only place I know of to get Yankee brand candles. Tons of other cool stuff here too, but I’d never admit to shopping here in real life LOL
