An olé favorite in downtown Mission. Always busy for dinner… a great buzz. Lots of great dinner entrée options… and daily specials. Can’t beat the Greek food… steak and prawns also great as is the seafood. Service is efficient… never a long wait for delicious food. Hadn’t been in for a while… definitely happy we chose Eleni’s for dinner tonight.

I love this restaurant. It’s a casual, family restaurant that has delicious Greek food and large portions. The Greek platter for 2 is enough for 2 people plus leftovers for lunch the next day.

I really love this place. Their food is always very good and if there’s ever a complaint they fix it. Atmosphere could be better I would like to see them fix it up a bit. It’s not shabby it’s just not Greek-ish. Feels more like a diner. The service is absolutely fabulous. I get the one woman all the time and I adore her. If you keep it up Ellini’s I will keep coming.

Good size portions and prices are very reasonable. Not much to look at from the outside but good food. Tzaziki dip was amazing but not enough pita to go with the amount of dip they give. Over all I would come again.

No 1 Greek restaurant in Mission because there is no other Greek restaurant in Mission. I suggest going to Abbotsford instead. Why? Because food at Eleni’s is simply meh at best. Service is subpar. Then again you may disagree if you have low standards and haven’t had decent quality prepared Greek food. For whatever reason, Mission has a low standard when it comes to restaurants. However, drive 20 minutes to Abbotsford things are on a significantly better(higher) level. And I realize that the standard won’t be the same compared to the high standards in Vancouver but Mission hits rock bottom in my opinion.

Had lunch here last week with a friend. While waiting for her to arrive, I overheard people coming in and talking about how the place had changed hands recently and the menu had been stripped quite bare from the selection they used to have. Glancing at the menu, I was unsure what kind of restaurant I was in… was it greek? 80’s Canadian diner? The special for lunch was a ham and cheese sandwich…*yawn* and for 9.00? My companion and I went for their more greek items, I had the keftedes(meatball) lunch special with greek salad and tzatziki, and she had the chicken souvlaki skewers lunch special. Neither of us wanted pita or rice, and she wanted an extra skewer(they charged an extra 10 dollars!!). The food was decent, but pricey and was pretty much the only thing greek on the menu… besides, its pretty hard to mess up anything kebob. the rest of the menu was dedicated to burgers, and non-greek items that did not sound all that appetizing. It seems this place has become more of a «do it all» diner. I’ll pass on it next time… and try something else in Mission.

I hadn’t eaten here in quite a few years but recently went back for dinner. The place was packed, the service was great, and the food was awesome. Will definitely be back for more.

My criteria for a Greek restaurant is how good their Tzatziki is. If that is good, then the rest of the meal will be. If it tastes like yogurt mixed with no name brand sour cream then don’t bother ordering an entrée. Eleni’s has been voted Mission’s favourite restaurant for some crazy length of time like 14 years in a row or something like that. I can see why. The outside and interior décor is nothing to look at. This is not a stylin place, and it sits right across the street from the Mission’s train station for the West Coast Express. So… we were out for thanksgiving dinner because I didn’t feel like cooking for 7 hours to eat for 20 minutes. We all ordered Greek stuff, salads, Keftedakia(meatballs) and Souvlaki. Our kids ordered Spaghetti and meatballs($ 5.99) and they ate as much as they could, we doggie bagged it, they both had it for lunch today, as did my husband and there is still a full serving left in the fridge. And it was tasty. I ate the rest of mine for lunch today. All our meal portions were HUGE and very very tasty. Their Greek salad was perfect. Their Tzatziki was outstanding… I swear it was better than any I have had in Greece. We ordered a 500 ml container to go($ 6.00). If you are hungry and like Greek food, this is the spot. They lost one star for not allowing me to switch the drink that came with my kid’s meals from orange juice to apple(how lame is that?) and the décor is clean and new, just in bad taste. I can’t handle unappealing, I really can’t help but dwell on it. This place is exactly 14 minutes off HWY1 — Sumas exit Abbotsford. Totally worth the detour off a road trip.
