Excellent donairs. We are foodies who eat out all over and were impressed with the quality and price of This restaurant

I came here because of the Unilocal reviews saying it had great Donairs, and I was not disappointed. These guys run a pretty tight ship. Barely enough room to stand and place your order, let alone eat your food. I’m not sure, but one of the guys behind the counter had an East Coast accent, so I figure I’m getting an authentic Halifax, Nova Scotia Donair at this place. There are a total of eight parking spots out front shared between three businesses, and getting in and out of those spots can be tough. That said, it’s all worth it. It’s a messy pile of meat, with some tomatoes, onions and delicious sweet sauce wrapped in a pita. I got the«medium» Donair, and it must have weighed 3 pounds. Definitely lives up to the hype.

I just left with 4 donairs in hand. We are in love! DELICIOUS! We’ve travelled from Sudbury to visit family and we try a new place every time we’re in town. This place will not disappoint. Best lunch I’ve had in the area. It’s all about the sauce!!!

Ya can’t get any better then this, Donair fries… Amazing. and the donairs? WOW!!! The only problem with this place is there really is not much room for seating but there is a park near by so have a picnic. This place is so good I regularly drive from scarborough, North York border 45 min on the 401 to get here!!!

4.5 stars! I’ve had donairs at two different places in Toronto and I have to say that each place does it slightly differently. I have never been to Halifax for an authentic donair, but the staff here assures me this is as authentic as it gets in Ontario! The staff was really friendly and nice! While we were debating which donair to order(you can get the donair meat and famous donair sauce in a pita, sub, pizza, poutine etc.), he gave us a sample to try. Great customer service indeed! I have to say, out of the three places I have been to, the meat here is super fresh, juicy, and very intense in flavour. The sauce isn’t as sweet as the other places I’ve tried, but I think it’s a good combo because the sauce gives the meat enough sweetness, but doesn’t overpower its flavours. The tomatoes and onions added to the flavour of the sauce and meat. Truly loved it. Only tip from me is I would have preferred the meat to be mixed in with the tomatoes and onions. The meat was all on top, so u have to really put the entire thing in your mouth to get to the tomatoes and onions on the bottom. Hard to do since where was so much meat and We were seating on a bench. Thou, no complaints for the abundance of meat! For two medium size donairs in a pita and one Coke, it came up to $ 20. This is in the range of what I paid in Toronto, perhaps a bit more expensive, but definitely filling and you are paying for good quality food. I couldn’t even finish mines. The restaurant has a few seats, but it’s mainly a takeout place. We got ours to go and ate it on a bench near the restaurant. Wasn’t a good idea as the donair sauce got everywhere. It’s messy to eat as it traditionally is. So keep this in mind when you are deciding where to eat it. Consider going home where you can wash your hands after. The staff gave us a coupon to come back. We would love to and hopefully we will, but Milton is far from Toronto. Fingers crossed, they consider opening up a place in Toronto. Currently they have one location in Milton and another in Burlington.

Really, the only thing that’s not great about this place is they no longer deliver. However, it’s worth getting off your butt and grabbing takeout. The donairs are amazing. The pizza and subs are great too.

Anyone who’s done serious research on donairs in the greater-GTA(guilty!) has seen this name pop up. And yes, those of us who grew up on actual donairs from the east coast or the prairies, are absolutely willing to drive out to Milton to see if this place can actually live up to its reputation. So does it? Yeah, sort of. It’s certainly the closest I’ve found out here, anyway. The pita was a bit thick, and the cheese was shredded and added after, rather than sliced and steamed in the pita beforehand. But the meat came from a spit, and was well-seasoned, and the general proportion of artery-clogging goodness inside the donair seemed about right. The donair sauce, where most attempts at recreation fall apart, was a bit heavy, but approximated the real thing. I certainly enjoyed it, but for a donair right out of my youth, I’d probably make the pilgrimage to Milton on a regular basis. That’s not going to happen in this case.

Best Donair ever !!! I’ve had donairs all over and the sauce sets this one apart from the others. It’s quite garlicky so you gotta like garlic to eat this. Mmmmmm

Like many before me, I made the trek here from Toronto to get the best Haligonian donair Ontario has to offer and man, did it not disappoint. Donair sauce was on point and sitting at the window it felt like I could have been at the old KOD Pizza Corner location. They even have donair pizza and donair poutine. Things to try for next time. I’m DEFINITELY coming back. Come to Toronto Halifax Donair & Pizza!

It’s pretty good but I feel like they overload the sauce. It left the pita bread very soggy and you gotta make sure you have plenty of napkins cause you can’t eat it without spilling all over the place. Good portions. The sides r a bit overpriced.

Milton — sleepy town? Gets even more sleepy after you eat their donair sub! Found this place during summer street festival last year, 2014 and have been visiting them since. Treat few visiting friends to Jay’s Ice Cream and The Halifax donair, their response is very positive as they leave Milton happily — with full tummy. I prefer my Sub on the dry side a bit. Just ask, they will get you right. Their sauce is very good and don’t forget to top up your ‘loaded’ donair sub with their in house hot sauce. You are set. No wonder, Milton is a sleepy town.

Good value, no question about that. I had to try the Halifax donair, having vague memories of a late night mess in Halifax circa 1994. The pita was soft and chewy, almost like a roti, while the meat was freshly shaved, moist and just bustin’ out of that wrap. The sauce? Hmmm, maybe it’s an acquired taste? Just too sweet and too much of it for me. It’s not like any yogurty middle eastern sauce, this one seemed milk based and definitely sweetened. Maybe it’s just perfect after closing time? The poutine was great. A nice light gravy with squeaky curds, closer to a real Quebec experience than just about anything you can find in Toronto. The small was meal sized for my hungry 13 year old. Nice owner, with a authentic, friendly, «hole in the wall» feel(I mean that in the best possible way).

I spent a few months in Nova Scotia several years ago, and this place is 100% what you’d expect from a donair from there. First off, I’ll readily admit that I prefer Middle Eastern wraps. I’m a bit conflicted on the sauce as it is very sweet. It still tastes good in a way — but still maybe too much. The meat is very good quality, still juicy and not overcooked. The wrap is fresh and doesn’t break. Apart form that, there are tomatoes and diced onions, and hot sauce(upon request). It’s a very large portion, so good value there. It’s so large in fact, that it doesn’t even fold. I did takeout, so this is certainly something I will just want for dine in next time. I’m surprised they didn’t automatically provide a fork. Wrap: 3.5 I had the cinnamon bites, and those are probably the best value for money you’ll find anywhere. It’s fried dough and with a cinnamon sugar filling and topped with icing sugar. Each ‘bite’ is actually like 3 – 4, and they come with 12 — yes 12 pieces. It’s comfortably enough for 3 – 4 people and only $ 5. They very much remind me of carnival food, but considerably cheaper. 5 star rating for these. There’s a few other items I’d like to try, such as the poutine(with their donair meat) and the toasted sub. A bit challenging to recommend the donair without reservation, as it’s likely something you’ll either really like, or not be your thing. Still worth giving a try however, because if you end up liking it, you’re getting one of the best of its kind.

Hands down the best pizza in the Toronto area. Our group happened to be passing through and decided to stop. So glad we did. We ordered 3 large pizzas — which is enough to feed between 8 – 10 people. The slices are very large and full of toppings and loaded with cheese. When we went to pickup the pizzas the owners were there and were extremely nice. Given the size of our order(we had subs too) they threw in a few cans of pop. I thought that was a cool gesture.

The traditional poutine, which is not a normal part of their menu but they do feature from time to time, is excellent. The fries are generic but the gravy is a proper Quebec-style«sauce brune» — nice and salty, great flavour and not too thick. But by God, it’s the curds that make this the best around. Probably the squeakiest I’ve ever had in my life, and what can I say – I’m totally the kind of guy who craves that squeak. You see, unlike some people, the owner at this place clearly cares about authenticity. All too often, you see places serving up «poutine» which is really just fries with an overly thick beef gravy and either shredded cheese or hunks of mozzarella that melt instantly and for that reason poutine can be a major lunchbox letdown. If you ever see them serving up traditional poutine on special, GETIT! And this place isn’t even a poutinerie specifically! As for the donair itself, it’s not really my thing. I have tried it and I can definitely vouch for its quality if you’re into that sort of thing. From what I understand, it’s really the only place in the GTA you should be heading if you want east-coast style donair, so I’ll just leave it at that. The service is friendly, warm and personable. Like someone else on here indicated, I was also treated to samples of the donair meat and sauce on my first visit, so be sure to tell the owner if it’s your first time and I’m sure you’ll be well taken care of.

If you’re a transplanted east coast-er in southern Ontario, then Halifax Donair in Milton is a must to have some memories and tastes of home. The donairs and the pizzas are fantastic. And I just recently tried the Donair poutine. Absolutely delicious. This is a take out establishment. Don’t expect sit down dining. And not something that you can eat in your car without having a mess afterwards. Really wish they were closer to Mississauga/Toronto as the food generally needs to be warmed up by the time we get it home. But the quality, taste, portions, and pricing is well worth the trip. For the 23 years I’ve lived in the Toronto area, I’ve searched for food just like this with not so great results. Being told about this little spot in Milton was a great day. In fact, I think I’m going to order and pickup now.

Best donair in Ontario. Worth a drive from Toronto. Also: They do these fresh cinnamon sugar fried dough bites with icing that are probably the best desert I’ve ever had at a donair place(or pizza place). Friendly customer service, surprisingly good salad, and the donair… holy mackerel.

yes it is like CRACK. Don’t let the shabby looking exterior and the long drive to milton scare you, because you will essentially have amazing food for a great price. establishment 3⁄5 looks quite unapproachable at first, and even once inside, stirs some mixed feelings as it does not particularly inspire thoughts of delicious food. The place has a take out set-up inside, with only a few seats by the window(although the kitchen looks very huge with deep space) the owners could have easily added more seating. But we are not here to stay and dine anyways. food 5⁄5 I had a slice of pizza and medium donair beef combo, came with fries and pop. Since having the donair in turkey, I have long tried to re-create the tasty memories of those turkish donairs, and this place might actually be close to those memories. the meat is somewhat sweet, but is super juice, with the secret sauce also covering the rest of the sandwich in a reddish/whitish liquid. Combined with the thin pita, and the fresh vegetable, the overall wrap is just KILLERGOOD. price 5⁄5 the combo was 10 $ and the slice was like 2 – 3 $, I cant remember, but the whole thing was around 14 $. Great value, worth driving to milton for. service 5⁄5 the couple serving customers is very nice. what more can I say, this is a place I would jump out of bed for !!! It has deserved my very rare 5 star rating for now, however, I will go back and ensure consistency in tasting over multiple visits.
