Went out to Metchosin remembering this shop existed, and not sure what to expect. We were looking for a sweet treat, and it delivered. The Metchosin Bar (a coconut knock-​off of a Nanaimo Bar) was my choice and was pretty good.
The sundae, though, was spectacular. After years of Dairy Queen, this was unexpected. The whipped cream was actually whipped. The whole thing was huge. Others in the shop stared when it was brought to our table (there’s three tables for sit down customers). The only down side is that with just two of us to eat it, we barely made it through. It wasn’t quantity over quality though. It delivered. We’ll be going back for sure.
