I didn’t try the wife cakes, but I did try a few of the regular cakes. They taste pretty good, but they’re pretty average.

This place has been consistently good for years. Everything I have ever purchased there has been divine. Since visiting Taiwan, I have been in search of wife cakes — this place does them pretty well. Try the pink colour ones with lotus filling — sigh. The red bean paste one’s are also very good — and not too sweet. But what really does it for me at this place are the vanilla sponge wedges with cream filling … The mouth feel is exquisite — probably a million calories … it has a decadent, decadent flavour/texture … I wish I could find a white-bean wife cake here in TO. They must have them somewhere … Thankfully I don’t live too close by — otherwise I’d be in there every day …

My first time here, although I’ve always passed by this place. There are three locations in total– two within the same mall and one in the next door mall, which is Pacific Mall. I visited the location in Market Village called Windsor Fine Bakery rather than Winds Bakery. What brought me here was a $ 10CAD gift certificate here that was gifted to my family by a relative. Bought two puddings, a honeydew banana pudding and a red bean pudding. They were both delicious and I consumed it right away. The slices of cake and tarts were great for an after dinner dessert. I got a slice of taro mousse cake, mango mousse cake, fruit tart and chestnut tart. It was fresh and not expensive. I noticed there are small sales going on inside the store which seem like a good deal. Four overnight buns for $ 2CAD in a bag, three out of four of the buns are of different variety, with one repeat. The buns are more simple. two«pineapple» buns, a raisin bun and a cheese bun. I didn’t buy it since I already bought a lot, but it certainly caught my attention. There were also three kinds of buns that were bogo. The thing though was that they were of different value, but only off by a little bit. and how can you bogo if there are three? It works if you bought one and got one for free, but if you bought another one, you wouldn’t get anything free ’cause there are none left! I didn’t even visit the bakery that late in the day either. well it caught my attention, but I wasn’t here to buy bread, wanted to try their desserts. I would definitely return!

4 stars for their Vanilla Cream Sponge Cakes alone! I’ve had my share Chinese sponge cakes. The sponge cakes at this bakery are so fluffy, slightly sweet, and light. The consistency is a bit different from what I’m used to. It’s almost like a sponge cake/cheesecake/jello hybrid. Sounds odd, but it’s delicious and very addicting. My cousins and I ended up packing a bunch in our suitcase to take back home. We’ve been to a number of Chinese bakeries in TO and THIS bakery is the only one we found so far who makes their sponge cakes this way. Give it a whirl if you’re in the area. They have a wide range of baked goods. Sweet and savory pastries. Loads of cakes for all occasions. Employee is quick and friendly. Set up is similar to most Chinese bakeries. Grab a tray and tongs. Pick up your baked goods and take the tray to the cashier to check out. Milk tea is awesome here and incredibly affordable. Great midday pick me up. Enjoy.
