This place is absolutely HORRIBLE — if I could give it negative 5 stars I would. Just to be clear, I’ve never written a bad review before but if I can save one person from having the experience I just had there then it’s worth the time to post this. I called and asked if this place had experience in removing bonded hair extensions… Yen (I’m guessing the owner) was absolutely adamant that she had years of experience. I made an appointment for the following day, first off, I waited 45 minutes to be seated after my appointment was supposed to start! She then sat me down and as I had my hair up, while I was untying it she unkindly said «let’s see what kind of a mess we’re dealing with» which I found completely rude and unprofessional. After sitting in her chair for 2 hours with solution on my extensions which her untrained husband (I found out after) was applying… She finally came over to look at the progress — Yen had been dying someone else’s hair and started touching my hair with her colourist gloves covered in hair dye! When I asked her to please take off the gloves before she transferred hair dye on my hair she gruffly replied that it wouldn’t transfer off when I clearly could see how fresh the dye was on her gloves (it was still glistening!!) after another half an hour she came back again and no word of a lie, proceeded to rip out my hair extensions, with my hair!!! I asked her repeatedly to stop pulling at my hair — I had extensions removed twice before and I never felt pain before! I had to stop her while she was 70 percent done because my head was in pain … I left her chair with patches of hair missing and with glue still in my hair which she was insisting she wanted to «comb out». She then wanted to charge me 200 dollars for leaving me with hair missing in patches and with crazy scalp pain from her hair pulling. This was the most horrific experience I’ve ever had and I can’t believe this woman is still in business. This experience was straight out of a horror movie — I hope her place gets shut down permanently as she shouldn’t be allowed to charge for destroying someone’s hair!

I have straight hair, I showed Yen a photo of a curly hairstyle I wanted, she said the best thing was a perm because hot iron styles only last util the next wash. The style I wanted was big soft curls. I made the appointment, went in and showed Yen the photo again. She gave me a perm that looked more like a crimp job (there were no curls, just little wiggles) and said in 2 weeks it would look like I wanted. Really? I’ve never heard of a perm becoming curlier over time. Then I showed her the picture AGAIN and she said the style I wanted could only be done with a hot iron. I was stunned. I went home and the general response I got from family and friends was «it’s not bad» not exactly what you want to hear after spending nearly $ 400. After coming to my senses I went back 3 days later, after washing my hair once the 48 hour waiting period had passed, and told Yen it wasn’t the style I wanted. She blamed me for not using product (I got shampoo, conditioner & anti-​frizz spray, none of which I opened because I intended to return them) and for not scrunching my hair after washing. Then she said my hair was too long and heavy, well why didn’t she say that before she did the perm? Her assistant piped in also to say I had to use product if I wanted to maintaint the style. Well, that is the problem, I didn’t want this style that one friend described as looking like a perm that was growing out. I explanied to Yen that I asked her for big curls, showed her the photo again and she says to me that the style I want can only be achieved with a curling iron. You have got to be kidding me. I felt lied to taken advantage of. She offered to cut my hair free of charge, well considering that the perm was $ 190+tax (and she cut very few layers into it prior to the perm and charged me for that, too) that would have been one expensive haircut. I asked for a refund, got ½ my money back and left. That was maybe my 4^th visit to Verve (1^st perm) none of which were outstanding, so I won’t be going back.
