Great experience. If you want to try real archery then give this a go. Fun, informative and cheap with their intro pkg(direct or with Groupon). The instructor was very easy going but professional answering all my stupid questions. The class is held in a small sparse room with no fancy trappings that you may find at other archery schools but it’s enough for its purpose. There were 10 in our class shooting all at the same time. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Would recommend it.

I had a lot of fun learning to properly aim and shoot here! The intro class really covered a lot of basics in a short time to get you shooting right away. The instructor was knowledgeable and pretty funny. It made the class even more interesting than it would have been. The intro classes were 3 hours long with 6 people in there. I think the max number of people per class is 10. All the equipment was provided. The only downside is that the place is pretty hidden. And for people who don’t drive, its pretty inaccessible. Other than that, I encourage everyone to give it a try!

We had a groupon for this and we went here as a group of 4. There were only 2 other people joining us so the group was nice and small. Let me just start off by saying that this is well worth doing even if you don’t have a groupon. It was really a unique experience. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the location is not in a big field outdoors but rather in an indoor range in an industrial complex. While this may not conjure up visions of stealth-hunting through the forest, it actually is a much better environment to learn in. This stuff is hard! The last thing you want is to have wind play a factor while trying to get the basics down. Also, by being indoors you know that your lesson won’t get cancelled due to weather. Dan and Connor were awesome. They were very patient and observant as to what each person was doing and they gave their instruction individually on what each of us should be doing differently. You definitely use muscles that have been on vacation for a very long time and you also activate an awareness of your whole body that you normally don’t tap into. There are so many little factors in your body’s positioning of the feet, arms, shoulders, spine, and even your perlicue and philtrum, that affect the flight of your arrow. Mastering all of this in a single 2 hr lesson is impossible, although Dan and Connor teach you enough to get a few really good shots into the target! The time just flies by and when you leave, you are definitely itching to go back and skewer a few more pieces of paper. Maybe you won’t pick up archery as your next hobby, but you will never forget the experience and the fun you had!

My cousin loves sports and so do I. We were browsing Groupon for a fun activity to do together and we both agreed on an Archery class. We were a bit disappointed that the class was indoors, even though the Groupon ad has a big Green outdoorsy picture that instantly draws your attention to buy it in the first place. We only found out after arranging an appointment and taking a closer look at the details after our purchase. The location was my least favourite part of the experience. It’s literally located in a storage plaza and the place doesn’t look any fancy. Having said that, the instructor was great! He started with safety and what can go wrong if we don’t follow the instructions. I was a bit alarmed, but later I let my guards down and realized as long as I don’t do anything crazy, I won’t injure myself. There were a total of 8 people and each couple of people shared a target. Our instructor was thoroughly knowledgable and very patient with the beginners. He made this experience an unforgettable one for everyone. I know so much about archery gears and the dynamics of this sport. My advice is to warm up with shoulder and arm stretch before coming to this class and after. Posture is key and don’t forget to ask if you’re not sure. The bow is actually heavy and you will feel sore.

Tried this place out with a Groupon and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. As never having done archery before. except for that one time in gym waaaaay back in high school, I was excited to get my Katniss on! The instructor we had(I can’t remember his name) was really nice and funny and made the experience interesting and fun. We went through safety instructions and correct positioning of the body, which I learned are way more important that trying to figure out how to it the target. In fact with correct body positioning you will hit the target every time. Since there were 10 of us in the group was very sure to watch all of us to make sure we had our bodies adjusted right and would come over and provide instruction to help us correct out our form. His tips definitely helped me hit the target more than I ever thought I could! This is a great experience for someone who wants to try something new and different. They do offer classes so you can perfect your poise and aim, which I think is great! My advice to you is to try it out with Groupon, but also get a Groupon deal for a massage as well, because the next day your arm and upper back will FEEL it! But that just means you must have been doing something right!
