Honest and trustworthy. Also good quality work Price is quite ok but not the cheapest one around but as we know, we get what we pay for. They use oem parts so that’s one of the reason on the price. Aftermarket parts are cheaper so ask for options for getting aftermarket ones. They will give their honest opinion so you can decide.
I did my brakes, timing belt and oil changes here.
They have a number of mechanics so as long as you booked, you will be fine.
Labor can sometimes be in the high side when they changed my brakes as it seized. My fault for not doing annual brake service to prevent this.

I was having some issues with my car and friends couldn’t figure out what it was. My husband was away on a business trip and I was terrified to deal with car mechanics on my own. I did it once when we lived in Montréal and the garage I took my car to had some pretty rude employees who have made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing how to fix the car myself. A friend recommended T-​Lex and I took my car there for diagnostic tests, and sure enough they found the problem. They were quite nice and helped me get back on the road in 3 hours. The only reason it is 4 stars is the fact that the quoted price was $ 120 less than what I paid at the end, there were extra items in the bill that they didn’t mentioned in advance.

Great place when my Corolla had a problem in the muffler. Tony and Basil were great in helping me all throughout the repair by finding the cheapest solution and going the extra mile to make sure I left their shop happy! I will definitely return for other repairs as they are both certified by Toyota.

My cigarette lighter got pulled out by somebody who shipped my car and so I could not use it to charge my GPS. My local friend recommended his mechanic to me, but the guy said that most likely I needed to get the whole part changed (estimated about $ 100+ to get a used part). But my gut tells me to get a second opinion. And thanks to people who have left good reviews for T-​Lex that I found it to get my problem solved in just a 15 minute visit, without buying any parts.
T-​Lex THOROUGHLY explained to me the cause of the problem, fixed it, and TAUGHT me how not to cause similar problem in the future. I am very impressed.

Basil the owner is a really nice man. I have an older Lexus, and he always tries to find me the most affordable solutions. He takes the time to explain the issues thoroughly, and gives you options. They are very knowledgeable with Toyota and Lexus cars, I’d recommend them to anyone looking for repairs outside the dealership. Only didn’t give it a five, because of what seems like excessive wait times? I know that’s normal with mechanics, but I’ve witness many people waiting hours for simple maintenance.

I found this shop while looking for auto repair for my dad’s Lexus. He went to T-​Lex for the first time a few years back and has been satisfied ever since. My first experience with T-​Lex was after visiting another recommended shop and finding my experience was less than optimal. A messy shop, random guesses at problems, and poor customer service led me away from this other shop. I called my dad and asked if he could see if Basil could fit me in after I left the first shop. Within 2 hours Basil confirmed my front brakes were warped and replaced both the pads and rotors at a very reasonable price. He and his staff are incredibly detailed and take pride in offering the most honest and well-​priced service for any vehicle. I have been bringing my Acura to T-​Lex for all maintenance ever since. His sign/​name would lead you to believe he only deals with Toyota and Lexus, however the majority of his clients have various Japanese brands and he’s even started doing North American cars as well.
I would not take a car anywhere else for service but to Basil and his guys. His shop is conveniently located on Woodbine, north of Steeles. It is very easily accessible from the 404 and 407. He is not a «cheap mechanic» but his rates are much better than any dealer and he will only do work that needs to be done. There is no upselling with Basil, if he suggests something, do it!

I’ve been coming here for everything car related for the past two years. I had been frequenting my local Toyota dealership for everything from oil changes to brake pad replacements, I decided enough was enough after waiting a whopping 2.5 hours for a simple oil change on a weekday evening.
Basil at T-​Lex specializes in everything Toyota and Lexus related, and moreover he’s very honest and doesn’t mind pointing you in the right direction if your problem constitutes as a part under warranty. 2 parts of mine needed replacement, and thankfully a warranty saved me a bunch of cash.
Almost everything costs less than your Toyota dealership and I leave not feeling remotely pressured/​ripped off. Of course, I know very, very little about the mechanics of cars, but I know for sure that my 4 year old sedan, is in safe and very able hands.
