Sunny Tang Martial Arts Centre offers recognized programming for children, youth and adults. Our programs are based on the inspirational Chinese martial arts of Wushu and Wing Chun and are designed to compliment the majority of martial arts enthusiasts. These programs include traditional and effective self-defense programs in addition to high-flying performance oriented programs as portrayed in film and television.
The goal of the centre is to create a fun, safe, educative and friendly environment in which our members are able to meet and exceed their personal goals through the martial arts.

History
Established in 1976.
The Sunny Tang Martial Arts program was introduced in Markham in 1998. For over 10 years the program has been a central element to the atmosphere and community of First Markham Place.
The program is the first of its kind in community activity and health awareness as it brings a visible presence of sport and culture to a public venue.
Classes here are partially subsidized by First Markham Place and are open for all new students at anytime. Classes are available on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays in the Centre Court of First Markham Place.

Business Owner
Celebrating 40 years of excellence in Canada, Sunny Tang Martial Arts Centre was established in 1973 and offers locations in Scarborough, Mississauga and Markham with affiliates locations across the country. Grand Master Tang is the recognized leader in the Chinese Martial Arts across the country and serves as President of WushuCanada the national sports organization for the sport of wushu, and is also an active committee member of the International Wushu Federation (IWuF) under recognition by the International Olympic Committee. Master Tang was the delegation leader for the Canadian Wushu Team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China and was a 2012 recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal issued by the Governor General of Canada. With more than 40 years of teaching experience, Master Tang actively oversees the programming of all schools under his name.
