Silver Leaf Day Spa

I decided to try this spa because I’ve seen the reviews and decided this might be my new home. Décor and atmosphere was really nice, however I didn’t feel that my presence was needed there. Reception wasn’t attentive to me. Didn’t ask if I needed anything or if I had any questions. I went up to them and asked questions. Even answers weren’t very clear. The lady that did my eyebrows was OK. At first I requested for wax and before we started she got me to say yes to threading instead. Very quiet almost felt awkward during the session. I think customer service could be better. For the price I’m paying, I was hoping to feel more welcomed. Will think about trying again.

I have been here twice. Would definitely go back again. Silver Leaf Day Spa used to be at Markville, but I had not been when it was there. I’ve only ever been to the location on Highway 7, west of Unionville Main Street.
Service is great here. Both times, I brought a girlfriend with me and we were able to get private use of the whirlpool and sauna room and you get cucumber or citrus water to bring into that room. After using the whirlpool/​sauna, we were able to receive our massage treatment. We get lunch in a dining/​sitting room after the treatment, which is great. They get the food from Smash, which is just at the corner of the same plaza, which is a great arrangement. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday in November, and they even brought a slice of cake for her (along with 2 forks because girls love to share)! After the food, we got a mani pedi treatment, which was probably my least favourite of the entire package. I would stick to the massages here.
Another great thing is the plastic bags they provide you in the ladies’ room. I have forgotten to bring an extra bag to spas before for my wet swimsuit from the whirlpool/​hot tub! This was great!
On another note, this location is great for a girls party/​day out of any sort as the dining/​sitting room can accommodate it and even the mani/​pedi room in the spa can accommodate about between 5 – 10 at a time.

I was introduced to Silver Leaf by my sister in law. Since moving back to Markham this has become my regular spa.
Always easy to book appointments, an exceptionally clean space, the treatments are always great and the staff are wonderful. The spa itself is very beautiful, but i think the friendliness of the staff is what separates this spa from the rest– although, I also love their points program.
I would highly recommend Silver Leaf!

I received a gift card from this spa, formerly spa at markville). During renovations, their website clearly stated that they will honour g/​c after renos are complete. When i contacted them, they advised that the spa is now under new management because sadly the previous owner passed away. And although they acknowledge that their website promised they would honour it, they wont now because they will lose money. «Sorry nothing we can do for you».
Great way to start up a new business. I understand the unforeseen circumstances but as ethical business practice, you’ve taken it over so you have to take care of your customers. Nope, couldn’t even offer a discounted service at the very least. Long time customer no more, and that goes for my family and friends!

Just had a signature pedicure, $ 59. This was my first time at this spa. The place is gorgeous and the front staff are very friendly. My technician was awesome. Very professional and great to talk to. Colour choices are kinda sad for a hig end spa. Only 5 Essie colours to chose from. The overall service was ok. Colour application is flawless, and you are given a reusable foot slipper to wear and quickly whisked to the front to sit and pay. Before you leave, someone from the front staff will spray your nails with aerosol nail dry spray.
Overall I felt very rushed. Had I known it would be this rushed, I would have just asked for the Express Pedicure, $ 45 and save a few bucks. With a $ 5 tip, this pedicure cost me $ 70.
I expected more based on the reviews and website description of the service. I was hoping for some pregnancy pampering but was disappointed.
I’ll stick with Sandalwood Spa in Thornhill a bit further for me but my feet always feel smooth as a baby’s ass when I leave.

This place is amazing! I received a gift card for this spa, and definitely will return again! It was absolutely stunning, and the website does not justify how amazing this place really is. I was greeted right away, and they made me feel at home. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This spa’s interior space is quite impressive. Although you wouldn’t know looking from the outside. The amenity area is big and clean. It has a luxurious feel that is sometimes hard to find outside downtown.
Service provided by the front staff was good. Asked her to give us a tour and was pleasantly surprised. There is a private shower room and hot tub for customer use.
As well as a small dining area.
Booked a couple’s aromatherapy massage and although the staff were polite and friendly the massage itself didn’t impressive me one bit. This could be due to the fact that our masseuses were not RMT. My masseuse in particular didn’t apply enough pressure and it felt like she was just rubbing instead of massaging it.
I might try again this again with an RMT but not anytime soon.

What an amazing day spa!!!
This past Saturday we held a bachelorette party at Silver Leaf Day Spa. There were 6 of us ladies and I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was! We used the hot tub and sauna, then were served lunch in a private lounge. After lunch we had massages, manicures and pedicures. We were treated amazingly and were blown away by everything! The staff were wonderful, kind and attentive. The lunch was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and our treatments were everything we could have hoped for! Our bride was so happy and walked away relaxed and stress free which is exactly what every bride needs right before her big day! Thank you to all the amazing staff that served us, you truly know how to pamper! We will definitely be back!

I had a Appointment today at 1500 (3pm) on Aug 3, I arived 15 miunts before. I was welcomed nicely, i asked to if i could use the hot tube after my message and it was not available. I was not asked if i could use it now before my treatment or nor did i get a call on firday reminding me of the treatment. If i recived a call i would have asked about the hot tub. or aranged to arive early to do the hot tub. Hmmm critial thinking hear! I was not give a offer to move my treatment to later so i could use the tub? 3 ways around it and i dont work their! Perhpas i should!
I was in the waitting area for about 15 miutns (but i arived early so i can relax before treatment) I was not once asked if i would like a drink and the front desk person walked by me at lest 3 times! The RMT did ask after my treatment.
Treatment was great and i feel very relaxed! I only wish i could take her hands with me home!
I asked about the Rewards program and The RMT are not part of the deal! Hmmm, i think is wrong. I think you should get points for each ervies since they cost more then the other treatments do.
Personal i would rather travel to St Annes spa and get the their rewared program and same serves each time then how the front desx treats you at this location! its never the same i only go back cause the RMT is GOOOD and worth the BULL!

I bought a spa package as a birthday gift for my wife. She is very picky when it comes to spa services, usually making the trip downtown. I took a tour before purchasing and found this spa to be beuatiful and clean inside, modern and upscale. Prices are reasonable especially compared to downtown spas. My wife had an awesome day and will be returning. There was also a complimentary hot tub for her to enjoy. She raved about her technician and was pleased with the services. She has now found her local spa and will be returning again. Im happy she had such a great experience.

Location: On Hwy 7, between Warden and Kennedy. (Same Plaza as Yang’s Kitchen AYCE Sushi). Looking for a decent location for a day spa in the Markham area, Silver Leaf is conveniently on the border of Toronto and Markham. It’s a bustling area with ample parking space.
Quality and Price: An RMT massage is $ 95 + tax. I went in for a full body Swedish stress relief massage. The price is slightly above average across the board (for massages and mani/​pedi).
Service: Prior to arriving, I called ahead to inquire about walk-​ins or appointments. RMT massages are by appointment only but on a weekday, it’s pretty quiet so it was very easy to book the day of. On arrival, I was greeted by young hosts. They were friendly and kind, took my coat and handed me a form to fill out (as it was my first time at this location). The process was quick and smooth. The waiting area was clean and neat. Smaller than it looks in the photos but, hey, that’s what professional photography will do right?
My masseuse came to retrieve me at my scheduled appointment time (I was slightly early but she didn’t mind). Her name was Liliya and she was just lovely. She asked if I wanted to go to the bathroom (and I declined) but neglected to tell me that I could store my belongings in the lockers next to the bathroom. I ended up taking everything with me and discovered it later (after asking for a tour of the facilities). No big deal, I just ended up putting my clothes, shoes and purse on the counter in the massage room.
The actual massage met my expectations. Liliya distributed enough pressure that was just right for me (not to soft not too rough). She did well with modesty draping and checked in on me from time to time. Liliya got most of the tension in my upper back and shoulders, she did well with the extremities (palms of hands and arch of foot) but I felt she spent a little too much time on my lower half (legs). I originally specified that my upper back and shoulders were the most tense so I would have liked if she spent more time on it. She massaged my head/​scalp a great dea l (be prepared and don’t expect to leave with perfect hair!) Another issue that I came across was that after she had massaged my lower half (including the soles of my feet), she came up and massaged my face! Firstly, the facial massage was great, don’t get me wrong. She pressed all the right points of pressure, but it was right after she used those fingers to press on the balls of my feet and toes! It was a good thing I had just showered before my appointment, what if I had come from a long day of work?! Gross.
After the session, she asked if I would like some water with orange or cucumber and met me back at the front desk. I sat and sipped my water while checking messages. I spent some time evaluating the establishment during that time and ended up purchasing an OPI polish that was 50% off by the front desk.
I paid, asked for a receipt and then a tour. The tour was very brief and gave me a general idea of what the spa is like. It fairly small and cozy, but finishes are modern and neat.
Overall: A decent day spa located in the GTA. I may return again if I don’t find anything better in this area. Points of improvement for the spa is to include some small freebies, even for a la carte clients. For example, as much as I appreciated the water, would have been nice to have a little variety, maybe some cookies, or juice instead of water while I waited. Maybe an «after session routine» instead of just straight back out to the front desk for payment. I was hoping for something to «bring be down to earth» after my massage. But then again, I could be way too spoiled from my experiences at other spas. One good thing about the spa was that no one tried to pressure or sell anything to me. Also, ensure that all specialists direct clients to the bathroom/​locker area (or are informed of storage) upon arrival. All in all, a good spa for the area (I’d say they have some competition if there were located closer into the city), and a peaceful atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the mani pedi I got… it was a regular mani pedi and ended up lasting nearly three weeks. I’ll definitely will be going back.

Gorgeous spa. Really, you should see this place. A great place to get pampered for the modern girl.
Outside it is in a plaza and doesn’t look like much but once you step in, you will be delighted. The reception ladies greet you and offer coffee or tea. There is a nice waiting area with lots of magazines and comfy chairs for you to chill out at.
I came here for a RMT massage. My therapist takes me for a quick tour inside the day spa then leads me to the room. She is super professional, asks questions to understand my problem areas and lets me know how she is going to address them. I’ve been to massages at other day spa and so far, this is my fave place!
After the massage, I passed by the bathroom, went in to wash my hands and was blown away by how gorgeous the bathroom is. If the bathroom in my house was this luxurious, I think I wouldn’t need to go to a spa to relax ever…
So based on my delightful experience, I thought I’d let the world know about this place. Very friendly service, and I already got my next appointment booked!
