We came here on the weekend to attend a children’s birthday party. A good way to describe Play.Art.Discover’s concept and service is it’s a combination of a board game/​activity corner, «paint lounge», learning and exploration centre through hands-​on activities, and a party space all child-​sized and children-​friendly.
Parents can drop their children off for a party and come back to pick them up later, or they can stay and hang back and watch while activities and interactions with the children are facilitated by the owner, Sandra.
For parents who want to host a party, you can bring your own drinks/​snacks/​decorations/​cake, while the acrylic paint supplies and canvas are provided (the size of canvas provided depends on the event package you purchase).
Although they advertise themselves as able to host corporate on-​the-​go events as well as family-​friendly activities, Play.Art.Discover’s focus seems more geared towards children activities, with the possibility of a side-​service that dives further into hosting workshops/​sessions related to early years discovery and play therapy for families.
If you have kids between 4 – 8, and you’d like to host a birthday party for them without the hassle of household preparation and clean-​up, or the migraine of children running out of control in a large shared public space (e.g. Chuck E. Cheese, restaurants), Play.Art.Discover would be a good alternative. It’s a party hosted in a private space, providing a fun educational purpose. Plus a work of art to take home as memorabilia.
