Terrible customer services. They sent me a driver in on a snowing day. He couldn’t find my location, and I was standing in the middle of the snow for 15 mins just to seem more visible for him. After he arrived, he told me that he will charge for a flat rate of $ 15 while the distance I travelled only should normally cost me $ 10. It’s not the money that I cared, but how they treat the customers. The driver started to tell me how stupid I am that I didn’t want to accept the flat rate. He also insulted me several times by telling me «i guess you have never take a taxi in Toronto so you don’t have the knowledge». He also insulted me by saying«if you don’t want to pay the flat rate why don’t u just take a bus, bus is cheap». Not to say that the experience during the trip is terrible, the driver even asked me to offer tips after I paid the proper fare. He was very unsatisfied and he said that it is a courtesy for people to give at least 2 – 3 bucks of extra tips(my trip was only $ 10, and it was the worst taxi experience I ever had in Toronto). I tried to complain this incidence to the company, and nobody seems to care. The guy who answer my complain call sound like he just want to shut me up and end the call. I took Beck taxi for more than 100 times, and this has never happened to me before, and I always gave more than 20% to my driver because I was mostly happy about the service, I guess that’s why I was used to the nice taxi service. I don’t recommend this Markham taxi company, and honestly I would never come back for them again. If there was a choice that I could give Zero star rating I wouldn’t give one star. Terrible experience ever.

On several occasions I’ve had some great experiences with Markham Taxi but on one particular afternoon, while asking to be picked up from Pacific Mall, a cab driver was having the hardest time locating my friend and I so we had to flag this guy down and he started yelling at us asking if we were fake taxi callers which I took to offence because we actually needed the taxi to get somewhere and because he was getting frustrated trying to find us he started cursing at us and saying all this bullcrap so we literally called the company right back after hanging up on that moth**f***er and told on his ass so we could get a different cab.

Picture this: We arrive at the Unionville Go Train Station. A crisp wind whips at us. We scan the horizon. Buildings look sparse and far away. It might be sunny, but it is cold. It’s a Sunday. A holiday Sunday. The doors to the station are locked. Uh, Unilocal? Please help us! Picking the first Taxi listing, we take cover in the bus shelter, cross our fingers, hope for the best. Within five minutes, a taxi arrived. Standard service ensued, which was more than we expected. We were so impressed, we tested the service again, calling a few hours later. And within five minutes, there was a town car. Okay, so the dispatcher didn’t know the Markham business scene or even the names of the plazas, but if you have the street address, you are likely off to a good start. And their promptness? You gotta applaud that. If you are heading to Markham on a holiday weekend, without someone picking you up, well… I’m guessing you’ll take what you can get.

Can’t go negative 2 on ratings?! Too bad because that would about sum it up. I’m 40 mins late taking a ride that should normally take ten mins. Also cab Smells like curry cigarettes and death.
