I have an old car — a 2003 Saab. The only reason I keep this car is Ivan. Whenever I need repairs, Ivan is there for me. He is very reasonably priced, incredibly honest and an all round nice guys. Each and every one of his Unilocal reviews is genuine. Many times he will end up charging you less than his initial estimate if he felt that the work involved was a bit less. I recently had an oil leak. Ivan said it would cost be 300 dollars — he ended up charging me 275 and threw in the oil change for free — a full synthetic oil change costs at least 90 bucks. You can’t get such an honest mechanic anywhere. Plus he knows cars. Be warned his shop looks unassuming — but he will gladly give you a ride to public transport or the nearby Markville mall. His father who helps also serves as the pickup dropoff driver and all the other guys in his crew are also super nice.

Straight to the point! Honest advice. Very affordable and reasonable pricing. Took my car twice. First time he checked my car’s underbody, breaks, took time to test drive and told me that nothing needs to be done. And all this for NO Charge!!! Second time i was in and out within 20 mins with oil change and cabin filter replacement. He also gave me the right advice about my summer tires during my first visit.

Holy cow! We’ve been here only 15 minutes and already I want to give them a 5 star! We waited about 10 minutes outside for them to finish up the previous car, but once they drove the car in, the job began immediately. Like WOW. Talk about efficient and faaast! It took about 30 minutes for Ivan’s team to change winter tires. If we went to Hyundai. it would have took 2 hours to do what these guys did in only 30 mins! Amazing!
Once again, thanks to Unilocal we found a place worth going to and just like everybody said. he is very honest! And the price is so reasonable! Never have we ever went to an autoshop that we could trust with excellent service. 100% coming back and I would totally recommend this autoshop!

a 3 year update!
I am still going to Ivan and I love how he is so accommodating, especially with my parents. My parents are old and my dad has alzheimers. It is hard for him to remember things and my mother who is also old doesn’t know much about cars. All I have to do is give Ivan a call and tell him what needs to be done and he does without a problem.
I can trust him to take care of my parents when they get there and make sure that everything is safe. I also know that he’ll never take advantage of my parents who are so vulnerable at their age.

What can I say? The reviews speak for themselves. Not only Unilocal,but on other online car forums as well.
I’ve been going to Ivan for three years now, and have made him my official mechanic. His prices, quality of work, and response time in replying back to inquiries are fantastic. He’s an honest mechanic, and knows what he’s doing. He doesn’t specialize in only one brand of vehicle, but all — European, Domestic and Japanese.
I have never had any issues, and recommend others to him. He lives by his quality of work. Also be on the lookout for his Motul synthetic oil sale. Can’t go wrong with that.

Went to Ivan for oil change and changing season tires. Very fast and honest. They do a very good job and doesn’t charge me an arm and a leg for my audi.
Parking there can sometimes be a pain because space is limited unless you’re there early

Best garage in town! Wouldn’t even think about bringing my vehicle anywhere else. Especially the stealer ship. Ivan and his crew are 3x more knowledgable than any of the techs at the dealer near my house at a third of the price. Who wouldn’t wanna come here.

Hard to find an honest mechanic. Ivan is as legit as they come. Doesn’t up sell you, won’t recommend anything you don’t need. Very fair prices and good honest advice and recommendations. This place will be around for years to come.

Normally when I Unilocal a place I’ve never been to, I try to suss out any fake reviews i.e. someone who raves about a place in similar words as another poster who only have about 2 or 3 reviews collectively. I’m pretty good at figuring that out. But I honestly believe that every 5 star review for this shop is completely legitimate. Ivan is genuinely friendly, caring, and offers the solution that would cost the least amount of money. I saved at least $ 200 because of him.

Cliché, but I literally created this account to let people know how good Igarage and Ivan are.
Went there this morning during the busy winter-tire change to get my headlights checked out. Ivan was friendly, and after waiting a 20 minutes (he was working on someone else’s car, I didn’t expect him to drop everything and service me immediately), he walked over, popped the hood, examined the headlights, and told me what the problem was.
He apologized for not having the proper part, (I had an after market kit, so not his fault) and told me exactly where to go to get it. When I asked how much it was for the inspection, he said not to worry about it.
Definitely going to make this garage my go to.

Been going to Ivan for five years now. Always friendly, always reliable. Doesn’t pressure you to fix things, always gives his opinion and then let’s you make the final decision.
Honest mechanics are hard to find these days. When you find one, make sure you treat him well. Other mechanics can learn a thing or two on how to do business. Have recommended many friends and family and they all continue to use Ivan for their maintenance needs.

An honest mechanic can be hard to find and luckily I found Ivan from igarage through a forum for Mazda owners. I drove from central Toronto to get my car serviced at his shop. It was a small job — getting some winter tires mounted on rims — but he was quick and thorough plus the price was more than fair. The only drawback is the lack of a separate waiting area. I’ll definitely come back here for any further work.

Ivan is GREAT!
I just went to him today because i heard clunking noise from the back of my car after having my mazdaspeed sway bar installed for the front and rear. My old mechanic tells me that it’s the shocks that are gone and needs replacement.
Turns out that my previous idiot mechanic didn’t tighten my rear sway bar and Ivan was able to do that for me.
I was expecting to pay when Ivan told me not to worry about it I was shocked and I couldn’t be more happier!
He’s definitely a very trusted mechanic and I’m going to go there from now on for all my services!
