Had no choice to bring my car here for a tire change over. NEVER AGAIN. took them 2 visits and 8 hours of waiting to mount 4 TIRES! had to return cause they didn’t balance them properly. A week later one tire blew out! Left me stranded! Reason? THEY CUT MY TIRE installing it. Garbage service. Never returning. Consumer beware. Manager won’t even return the cost of labour or replace my tire that they destroyed. He offered me $ 30. What a joke.

The staff here are unbelievably friendly, just like the one I usually visit by 404/​major mac. There is one key difference between the two stores — the stock. I was looking for shovels earlier this year and this location were completely out. Went to the one by 404 and stock was full. Perhaps I went at the wrong time, but I came back the next week to get car stuff and decided to check it. Lo and behold, no shovels. WHYYYY?!
Still a good place to go to when you need items for camping, sports, cars and home maintenance.

I had no choice but to go to this Canadian Tire location to fix a tire puncture. This was one of the closest places and earliest (opens at 7:30 AM on a weekday) for me. Turns out it wasn’t a small ‘puncture’…It was a metal shard which made the tire non-​reparable. I was provided the option of purchasing a whole new tire which I did. When I asked whether ALL the tires’ air pressure was going to be checked, I was told that they would fill each tire to factory spec psi levels and that the tpms light on the dash will turn off once it resets itself. Well… After I left, I took the 407 to the office… The light was still on… When I got home in the evening, the light was still on. I decided to check each tire’s air pressure myself… Three tires (the older ones) were at 32 to 34 psi, while the new one was at 27.5 psi. WTF??? Be warned.

I hate leaving negative reviews. I want to leave positive reviews. However, it’s seldom the case that businesses (especially in Canada) will give you excellent service. That said I did not have a pleasant experience at Canadian Tire. Most Canadian Tires I visit seem to be rather run down.
This one was no exception.
1. The store was VERY messy.
2. Three of the products I went in to purchase were not there, despite their website listing they had it in stock, and going there early.
3. But mainly false advertising. They advertised a tool for sale in their flyer and the one in store was completely different. The person working there seemed totally apathetic when complaints (politely) were voiced.
I know this all sounds harsh, but I hope no one thinks that I’m hateful. I’m only giving my opinion. My personal experience. Other people may think otherwise and that’s fine. But this has happened too many times for me to think I just have bad luck with this store.

Came here to get some paints at my friend’s recommendation because it may be cheaper. As I was going in I noticed a sign saying that Canadian Tire was under new management.
To be honest I didn’t really check whether out was cheaper in the end but that isn’t as relevant because the service provided by James in the paint department was excellent.
I never really had high expectations when it comes to service at Canadian Tire. However this surpassed even my expectations from Lowe’s.
The wait for someone to help us on paints was pretty quick. He dealt with someone ahead of me very expediently.
James was pretty helpful and knowledgable as to what kind of paints to use for our new condo. He tried to make sure we aren’t oversold on the paints and just get enough for what we need. He noted that he preferred to sell us less than being over as we won’t be able to return it.
He was able to help us locate alternate coloured paints from a different brand which was cheaper but also more durable
He also pointed us to tools we would need and found us the better deals for them.
Overall will come to this branch again.

I love this location the best compared to the other ones. Even though they are always crazy busy in the auto service department (unless you’re there at 8 am, be prepared to wait a few hours). But the people in the auto service are so friendly and nice, they keep me coming back. They’re also pretty knowledgeable and answered a bunch of my questions. Same goes for the rest of the staff in the store. And they have a good selection of everything, neat and tidy displays, makes for a good shopping experience

Since planting season has begun, I stopped by Canadian Tire to buy some topsoil, plants, and grass seeds for the lawn outside my house. Everything initially seemed routine: Topsoil was located outside the store, plants and grass seeds were located inside and in the garden centre.
When we got to the cashier, that’s where everything just fell out of place. The person ahead of me had to get a barcode check, so I was served first. However, the pot of plants I purchased had no barcode, so I had to wait about 5 minutes for an employee to check the barcode. After everything was settled, I paid the amount, the cashier put the items in my cart, albeit disorganized, and I left and went home.
When I got home, I noticed something was missing: The grass seeds! I remembered when the cashier asked a store employee to check the barcode, she put the grass seeds in one corner and the topsoil in another. Holy hell, talk about lack of organization! Not to mention she didn’t know how to retrieve a transaction. I understand she’s new, but I would’ve imagined training cover that thoroughly.
The saving factor was when I returned, the cashier immediately recognized me and quickly gave back my grass seeds, after apologizing profusely. Fine, you admitted you were wrong and apologized. I had to be your typical Canadian and said sorry in return.
PS: The lady in the customer service counter was yelling the whole time I was in the cashier. Both times. Couldn’t hear what though.

My first time in a Canadian Tire in years. What a disappointment. It’s clearly a re-​modeled store (or a newer one) but I don’t like it. The store is so over crowded. Merchandise down every aisle and in between aisles. They are trying to maximize sales per square foot but two carts can barely get by each other in an aisle. Lot’s of items were missing or out of stock. The packaging is often open with many items — how do I know something is not missing? Just not a pleasant shopping experience. I needed help from an associate but could not find anyone to help. When you finally find someone, there is a line of customers following them waiting to get some help.
I worked in a Canadian Tire when I was a young boy so maybe I’m more sensitive to the shopping experience at this store. I would prefer to go to a home depot…

Service was outstanding this time around. Well staffed and ready to check you out fast and professionally. Plenty of products and competitive pricing keeps me coming back.

I haven’t really had much for relaxation, it seems the only time I can relax is when I’m blogging! Today was no exception — I tag this day, errand running day. Start off at Canadian Tire to return the stupid clothing rack I bought for my sister. After trying to put it together, we realized it absolutely sucks, as the pieces somehow don’t fit together properly. Piece of crap.
Luckily the return/​exchange line was clearly marked as you enter the store. It’s basically to the right of the entrance, you really can’t miss it. Service wasn’t exceptional, but it was quick, and that’s all one can ever hope for in a return line.
I picked up some thin fall gloves — $ 0.69! I’m sure they’ll last me this season, and less than a $ 1!
