Good fresh sushi. When we moved to Maple Ridge a year ago, everyone recommended and raved about Shinobi. Gross. Go here instead. Tuna roll is actually tuna belly. Amazing.

As usual on Fridays, my husband and I just want to stay in and relax. We grabbed our flyers and decided on sushi. We wanted to try the new one down the road and noticed they delivered, but when I called they said they no longer deliver, my husband picked it up. Luckily, it is really close. My hubby wanted the Tuna Donburi, Beef Udon and I went with the Deep Fried Roll Combo. The menu is quite extensive. It has many specialty rolls and fusion items. Soups, salads, starters, sashimi, as well as seared sashimi. My Deep Fried combo consisted of the spicy magic roll, crazyboy roll and playboy roll which are all specialty rolls and ordering it in a combo saves about $ 1. There are enough items on this menu to please the raw fish eaters in the family as well as the tempura and teriyaki eating members of the family, so I will be ordering this for my daughter’s 24th bday dinner in a few weeks.

For Maple Ridge this place was very good however the service was slow. But the food was very tasty. Would recommend for a nice date night because it’s a little over priced for just sushi.

Quite simply, the best sushi restaurant in maple ridge. Also, truly the best sushi restaurant, in maple ridge! You will find dishes there you can’t find any where else. Innovative, superb freshness and quality, and reasonably priced. Top find of the year.

Clearly somethig has gone wrong here. Restaurant is dirty, no one bussing tables, no clean plates for each course, wait staff sullen and rude. Won’t be coming back. Maple Ridge has too many other choices for sushi to put up with this shit.

Excellent tuna sashimi. Both the food as the service were great. The sashimi order was a little small for the price, but the quality definitely made up for it. I would definitely recommend it for sushi in Maple Ridge.

Best Sushi I have ever had. They took our reservation for a group of 12 and the service, sushi, and atmosphere were amazing! The pricing is very reasonable too. My only regret is that I live in the states and will not be able to come back anytime soon. I highly recommend it.

I really love the sushi here. The presentation is beautiful. The décor is modern and cozy. The sashimi is really good and fresh. Everything taste flavorful and the price is reasonable. You don’t have to go to Vancouver for sushi apparently the love is here and I was recommended from another chef, thanks!

I liked this place. We went as a family for a birthday and they accommodated 16 of us quite easily in November 2014. I must admit, as much as I loved the establishment previously in that spot, this place is much more geared to groups. The split on 4 stars versus 5 for me was the service. The front staff was very attentive, but the restaurant didn’t have our timing down right. Many people were done eating by the time the others started their mains and that just didn’t work out perfectly. I liked the place though. The space is good, the front staff is excellent, and the menu is like nothing Maple Ridge has seen. The quality of the food is fantastic and price isn’t bad. I highly recommend it, but maybe not for groups.

Service 4.5÷5 Food 5⁄5 Presentation 10⁄5 Who would of thought this little hidden gem would be in the midst of the middle of know where in Maple Ridge. I’d honestly rather treck out here and have great quality Japanese food, in a new location, instead of heading to same typical downtown scene. The male host MJ seemed very friendly. The waitress/serving girl seemed a bit hesitant and quiet but MJ made up for her lack of social skills. We decided to have the lunch plates. They do not serve bento boxes here. The plates give you a choice of sunomono salad or house special salad of the day. Which I’m glad we both opted for the salad. It had a great tangy, sweet dressing with seared tuna and salmon which was delish! Then all I can say is everything else we ordered I was so impressed and pleased with the taste and presentation is out of this world! The salmon wave oishi was compact and fresh and the avocado and tobiko ratio was just right, and the cream sauce, is to die for!!! The favourite highlight for me was the Lion King Roll! Omfg. That is all I can say. Hot Night roll is better at this location than the ones I’ve had on denman. Parking is in the back near the police station and bus loop which is the only downfall of this place but people, YOUMUSTTRYTHISPLACEATLEASTONCE! Then you’ll see why I’m raving about it! I will be back! The lunch is 12−3pm. They close 3−4pm to rest and prep for dinner service. Respect that. The sushi men and back cooks need well deserved rest!
