I recently stopped by here on a rainy afternoon, deciding on impulse to visit my first Canadian thrift store. In Seattle where I spent the last two years, my love of rummaging for deals led me to become quite accustomed to thrift stores and I’ve learned how to spot quality items vs the garbage they sometimes put in there. My first impression was that it was quite small compared to what I’m used to, and there was a muggy atmosphere inside with more than a hint of cigarette smoke. None of that particularly bothered me, and the size can be deceptive because of how thrift stores often really know how to pack a lot of merchandise into a small space. What really impressed me though was the fact that they had a sale on which allows customers to pick any four pieces of male or female clothing(excluding winter coats) for $ 15. When you consider that they have a selection of expensive hoodies and jeans, the savings added up considerably. I ended up picking out $ 30 worth of clothing and paying $ 15 for it, although I’m sure if I really scoured the place I could have gotten away with an even better deal. All around good for me and other shoppers!
