Mark Gothreau

I hope that artists qualify as a «business» as I really want to let people know about my terrific experience with my first commissioned piece.
I ran across Mark Gothreau when he had a booth set up in a Halifax shopping mall. He was displaying his pencil drawings and working on a piece.
As you can see from my profile shot, my hubby and I have a Labrador Retriever (Gabby), who is our 11 year old baby. After seeing Mark’s work, I decided to commission a drawing of Gabby as a surprise Christmas present for my husband. Via e-​mail, he gave me some guidance about taking a good photo (I am a point and click variety of photog!) I sent him the photo, he gave me prices for three different sizes, and about a month later, he delivered the piece to me.
The pencil drawing exceeded my expectations. The amount of detail, shading, and different stroke styles have to be seen to be believed. I know hubby is going to love it.
In the new year, Mark will have my drawing photographed for his display. If I receive a copy, I will post it for my fellow Unilocalers to see. In the meantime, I’ll change my profile shot to the one he used for the drawing.
Regardless of where you live, if you are thinking about having a commissioned drawing done, I 100% recommend this artist!
