Gousto Bistro

A friend and I visited for the lunch specials and dessert. I had the pizza and soup, he had 4 cheese ravioli and the soup. The soup (leek with potato) was really, really good. I could have easily had another bowl, especially on the cold day that it was. The pizza was tasty, and the ravioli was nothing special.
We both had an issue with the small portion sizes that made you feel like you were in a fine dining restaurant, except for the fact that the taste wasn’t «fine dining» quality.
Still, the service was impeccable and personal. The husband-​wife owners spoke with us in all kinds of languages at different points of the meal and it was all very cordial and comfortable. It was really one of the highlights.
The décor of the restaurant is basic, done well. Feels very homey.
The best part of the meal was my dessert: I had the Banoffee pie, which was absolutely delicious. Really, a must have. Incredible. My friend’s Panna Cotta was good.

I enjoyed my visit and would return, but I might only eat the pie. Mmmmmm.
