Quite simply, I don’t like this place. It is loud, the service is average and the food is sub-par. The nachos, for example, were an atrocity, especially for $ 15. At least it’s only a buck to add some beef. The french onion soup was equally bad although it was only $ 6.50. I avoided other things like the mozza sticks because they were 10 bucks. There are ample tvs and a diverse crowd. Maybe I was jaded by a fraction of this diversity(namely a few young and loud jackasses) but nonetheless, I left less than impressed. In summary, for the pricy, mediocre food the oar house could send me to the poor house.

Oar House is a really decent spot if you love sports, beer, and quick food. It’s a pretty good choice if you are looking to catch the game or have some wings. It’s nothing fancy but it does the trick. They serve popcorn and peanuts as well so if you have an allergy, be aware! We went on Wacky Wednesdays so there was cheap pints and a special menu with«wacky» low prices. My friends ordered an order of garlic bread and poutine. The garlic bread was pretty average and the poutine was a little mushy. We all agreed the food was better than some other bars we have been to but you definitely got what you paid for. The server was sweet and quick with the refills. Our food was also fairly quick considering how busy it was. Unfortunately they only had 1 girl for one huge area so it took a while to get our bills but we understood! Either way, we were happy to find a lively spot with some decent food and drink specials that wasn’t a typical chain spot. Be sure to bring your ID as they check it at the door.

Went here for the first time with some girlfriends. Great atmosphere and not too noisy that we could still hear each other without shouting. Quick service, friendly staff. I ordered the wings and while they were delicious, I wish they came with some sort of dip or veggies on the side.

A fantastic sports bar with lots of televisions, all you can eat peanuts, a good mix of people(white collar, blue collar, no collar) and a friendly atmosphere. Next to McGinnis Landing, it shares many of the same menu items — so with the laid back atmosphere comes some great food. Great place to watch a game, grab a drink after work, or hoist some pints ‘just because.’
