This McDonalds has been great in the past. However this was around 12−1pm in the summer. My last two experiences on a Saturday morning have been mediocre at best. The service is quick which is great. But the last two times the lady who served me was rude and absolutely miserable. The first time I asked a question regarding coupons and I was given a snarky response. Today I was spoken to in a condescending manner when I said«regular soft drink», she snapped back«small, medium or large» and gave me a look. Generally the person working cash clarifies«is medium okay?» or something equally as polite. Sadly this woman ruined my experience at this McDonalds which is far better than the one in my area.

Whenever traveling outside of Toronto, I always look forward to visiting restaurants and savouring the relatively small-town feeling in nearby communities. This McDonald’s in London was no exception and further reinforced my prejudices. Both customers and staff, were disarmingly friendly. ‘So THIS is where the stereotype of polite Canadians come from’, I thought to myself as I made my way to the spotless counter overhearing, ‘Thank You’ and ‘You’re Welcome’ adding to the ambiance. And to top it off, the girl working behind the counter tilted her head, flashed her pearly whites, giving me(and doubtless all other customers) the biggest, sweetest TV-quality smile I could imagine!
