Not your typical hospital gift shop! Come visit us in the lobby of University Hospital where we stock purses, home décor, and giftware, as well as flowers, magazines and sundries for patients.

For eco-​conscious consumers, we now carry Euro Scrubbies (great for scratch-​free cleaning), Skoy cloths (paper towel replacements) and KD Cloths (clean windows and mirrors with only a damp cloth).

Please note that our shop may be closed at times due to the lack of volunteers available to cover all shifts. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you’re interested in becoming a new volunteer, applications are welcomed through the LHSC volunteer office.

History

Established in 1997.

University Hospital Giftshop is operated and staffed by the LHSC auxiliary volunteers.

LHSC Auxiliary is celebrating our 90^th anniversary in 2014. From assisting in operations of the hospital in 1924, the auxiliary exists today as a fundraising operation in support of services and equipment within the hospital In 2012, the Auxiliary completed its pledge to raise $ 5 million dollars for the hospital in support of the Mother and Baby unit at Victoria Hospital.

Our new pledge of $ 1 million dollars is in support of the transition mental health program for teenagers, and support for an innovative project with the Lawson Research Institute that uses a smartphone and web application (app) specially developed to help people living with mental illness play a more active role in their recovery process.
