History
Established in 2009.
Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices is the first Internet funeral company.
Our primary goal is to serve families with their best interests at heart. Losing a loved one is extremely difficult and we want to make our families as comfortable as possible and wish to alleviate any unnecessary stress. Therefore, we offer complete flexibility so we can provide families the types of services they want. We arrange over the phone, online or in person and we offer a wide selection of service options and locations that are flexible.
We also strive to keep costs low for our families. We have developed a very efficient business model that allows us to offer elegant services for about half the cost of a traditional funeral home. We are able to do this because we don’t have the high costs associated with maintaining an extravagant funeral home location. We decided to base our business on serving many families instead of charging unreasonably high margins to just a few.

When Eric set out to create Basic Funerals, the most important aspect was always providing affordable and meaningful services to families. Starting out in a small town funeral home, he has the benefit of classic training coupled with his honest, innovative ideas. Eric is constantly working to improve the services we provide. He is also a vocal advocate of healthy eating and active lifestyle choices.
