Avis Rent A Car

I booked urgently because I had a flat, they were open at 7 am, had to be in Hamilton by 9 and I didn’t want to drive on a spare. Plus, they were the only rental company in London that had a car available.
I showed up looking for a parking spot. The parking lot is crammed and it is difficult to navigate. I worked my way down a narrow alley to the back where there wasn’t even room to turn around. I carefully reversed back down the alley and was «greeted» by an employee. I rolled down the window and asked if there is a place I could park.
He laughed out loud at my question. I told him I didn’t find it funny. He responded with a «Watch how you talk to me». I told him I just didn’t find the fact there was no parking very funny. He repeated his threat and then told me that I shouldn’t have assumed I could park without talking to him first and that he might not end up getting me a car even if I did find a place to park. He then said I shouldn’t have laughed at him (huh?).
I pulled out of the parking lot, made my way home and cancelled my Hamilton appointment. I wouldn’t of taken a car from this guy if he offered it for free and it sounds like he wouldn’t have given me one anyway.
Makes you wonder why it’s the only place in the city you can get a rental car…
