Business Owner

Passionate about increasing market access for coffee producers around the world, Kyle recently graduated from the University of Reading’s Master of Science in Agricultural Development Economics. His thesis assessed the economic viability of the direct trade model in the coffee industry by conducting field research in Costa Rica, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In Costa Rica, he interviewed over thirty producers and cooperatives in the regions of Palmares, Naranjo and Tarrazú to gain insight into the market barriers and opportunities that are enabling or limiting the economic and social prosperity for coffee producers; and whether farm-​strategies of producing high quality coffee are a viable option.

The hardships reported by most coffee producers encountered in his travels has inspired Kyle to venture into starting his own roasting company that will strive to forge long-​term relationships with coffee producers around the world whom are as fanatic about the quality of coffee as he is.
