Le Bar Dome

as a tall dredheaded decent-​looking gal coming in to check out the venue in my friends hood, i was personally quite intimidated by this bar. that doesn’t happen alot. walked in, all eyes on me, not in a good way… in a confused way. try to walk in. two douchebags stand in my way uninterrupted by my presence. scuse moi… they barely move. i look around… ok i could see how it could be called a lounge. large fancy mirror by lengthy hallway entrance, lighting so dim you forgot it was daylight outside (well, bout 6pm), couple of booths here and there, just an overall awkward claustrophobia-​inducing space. i go to the bar just to look natural and ask in French if theyre playing the Habs game. Bartender is nice and replies yes. i look around again and the cook is staring at me right through the kitchen window. ok this is getting creepy… ime to ditch the cougars and intolerant old Québécois men and run back to safety outside where my friend is waiting for me. that will be the last i see of that joint. seems like a mature clientele spot and I guess I stand out like a sore thumb. i just felt really outta place and very uncomfortable. sorry «i calls it hows i sees it»
