Normally I would give this place 3 starts but in Leamington it is a definite 4 star. Most of the town closes at 8PM; even on Fridays and Saturday nights. If you want desert you are usually heading to Burger King, McDonalds or Wendy’s. Lakeside café announced new summer hours open to 8PM on weekends. You can also get desert at Armando’s open until 10 or Jose’s Noodle House which is open until 1AM. If you want something like a Dairy Queen or Baskin & Robbins this it the place for you. They have about 25 Nestle flavor ice creams. You can get cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes and banana splits. It is right off the ferry parking lot. They also sell burgers and chicken sandwiches, onion rings and fries and pop/water/powerade. Most of their business is Ice Cream. They have several tables with patio umbrellas. They close at 10:30PM on weekends. I notice a lot of teenagers going there and then sitting in their cars along the water. Prices weren’t bad; you can get 1 to 5 scoops of icecream. They don’t take credit cards and charge you $ 1 to use a debit card. I do give them a strike for serving a cherry in my banana split with a pit and for asking me if I wanted whipped cream and then charging extra for it. That was not listed on their menu.
