Located in the quaint McBurney Lane area of Downtown Langley, British Columbia, The Passionate Home is filled with re-​purposed, vintage and chic one-​of-​a-​kind pieces that are hard to resist and dangerously affordable. Nestled among the custom restyled furniture pieces you will also find hidden gems by local jewellery designers, luxurious soaps and lotions, original artwork and vintage flea market finds.

Our shop is filled with French Country charm and a whimsical mix of old and new. You’ll be delighted as you browse through the almost 2,000 square foot space where every little turn brings a new, delightful discovery.

History

Established in 2008.

It all began when the mom of a child Carrie was babysitting asked her to re-​do a little stool for her. After this first foray into selling her creations, Carrie was hooked and started hunting for treasures that she re-​finished and sold at markets.

When the demand became too large to house out of her garage she opened her first tiny little location in Downtown Langley and has since moved twice more, each time upgrading her space to what is now the 2,000 square foot location they are in now.

I have always enjoyed helping others with their decorating dilemmas, but it was not until a friend asked me to paint a child’s tea table that I discovered my true passion for transforming pieces of furniture that others might consider junk, into one-​of-​a-​kind, re-​purposed treasures that breathe new life into a home.

I started down the entrepreneurial road by hunting for all sorts of beautiful furniture and accessories that I could paint and share with others. What began as an extended hobby where I sold my pieces at a two day Show & Sale, has blossomed into The Passionate Home, allowing me to share my love of vintage treasures with others, spend more time with my family and express my love for house and home.
