Two things. Bought a back massager from them, parts falling apart on the inside. Almost had us talked into buying a leather couch was 1000 bucks, found out the loveseat was like 1500 and then add tax, something like 2800 smackers. Went to Danny Cheung on Craigslist in Vancouver and bought a much nicer set for 1450DELIVERED. Went in and requested a bottle of Christian Dior Sport for men. Sold it to me, got home and opened the box and it was Christian Dior Homme but not the same product that I requested. Take that back tomorrow. They are trying to sell crap and some people buy it. Also, found out later that the back massagers were all defective. What’s up with that? The Bay going under or what? And no Web Site to speak of…

If you follow my reviews for today, I was clearly off work, and in the market for home décor items. Reluctantly, and only because I was passing by I stopped at the Bay. Tucked away at the back of the store is a microscopic living room decorative pillow section. The black leather pillow with sequins was my son’s favourite(he’s five ok?). I was looking for something in red and a bit asian-ish. THe pillow that almost met my needs was … wait for it… $ 80!!! Are you kidding me? I was tempted to go up to a clerk and smuck them in the nose with an $ 80 pillow for thinking that modern consumers are brain dead enough to pay that. So I harumffed out of there. On the way, there was a clearance bin full of greeting cards for 10 cents each. All deeply biblical and with no envelopes. now that is about as useful as their pillows. Downstairs however I found an incredible deal($ 10) for really nice running shoes for my daughter… scooped them and out the door I was. I hope that the ancient and deep rooted Hudson’s Bay Company has a plan… ’cause things aren’t all that great.
