Scoop-​N-​Save offers a huge selection of cake decorating and chocolate making supplies. We have 100’s of cookie cutter and chocolate mold designs that are sure to please anyone young and old. Our store stocks a variety of cake decorating tools for the beginner to the advanced with everything in between. For our long distance customers we offer online shopping with complete access to our store 24⁄7 and we have an amazing support staff to help with all your needs.

History

Established in 1982.

Did you know that Scoop-​N-​Save originally started as a Bulk Foods store that carried everything from candied fruits to dried spices? When the bigger stores started to carry the same thing, owner Janice De Ruiter, had to make the decision to either quit or change her field. Thankfully she chose to keep going and on this new path she started a wonderful family orientated cake decorating supply store with help from her mom who said — «why don’t you rent cake pans? «

Today– the Scoop-​N-​Save continues to be run by Janice and reflects her beliefs on pricing merchandise fairly, providing courteous and knowledgeable help to all customers while striving to always bring in new and wonderful things for cake decorating. The Scoop-​n-​Save has been around for 30+ years and we look forward to serving the community for 30+ more.

Time had passed and I have to admit, scoop and save has improved greatly! Prices seem fair and even better: you can order product right from their website and have it sent to you within days! Very exciting to not drive out to the boonies when in need of supplies. Yay!

I pass this every time I go down shopping to the US, however, living in Burnaby it’s a long way to go just for baking supplies especially since I have my regular go to place or on-​line. I finally made the trek since there were other shops in the hood (50 minute ride). It’s a bakers wet dream. The advantage to this store over others is that you can get sprinkles in bulk at a reasonable cost. Since I don’t have to pay shipping, this is my go to place when in the hood for bulk sprinkles. I was very overwhelmed when I walked in the store. Since I know that this is all the way in Langley this was my only chance to get whatever I needed, however, realized later that I came short. Their prices on items are very reasonable. They have one of the largest and eclectic assortment of cookie cutters that I’ve seen. They have embeds, gels and frostings in regular and bulk. You can even rent character cake pans instead of dishing out $ 30 — $ 40 for a Wilton pan only to use once. Problem is that living all the way in the main city I have to actually buy a pan not rent one. Vancouver really needs a store like this and pronto.

I’m not going to lie, I like to bake and after the mrs. took me to Scoop and Save trips will be more frequent here.
Unlike the other big stores like Michael’s they have eeverything that you need to make cakes, sweets, and pastries. Here are a few noted items
–bunt cake pans
–character cake pans (Star Wars, Dora, Seasame Street, Spider Man)
–cake toppers and cake accessories such as rings, bows, and toys
–melting chocolates, the good stuff not that bunk crap they sell at other places
–frosting of every flavour you need
–fondant and fondant neccesitites
— cookie cutters of every shape and object
The women who work here are super nice and super helpful as if you don’t know something they are willing to help you out.
There are even class you can take inside too that can help excel your baked goodness into baked greatness.

Scoop-​N-​Save is a bakers dream come true…
I know it sounds pretty over the top, but it’s so true!
I had an order to Cake a party a few weeks back, and thought I should check out Scoop-​N– Save for a few things. WOW!
This place has practically everything you need! I literally came here for cake toppers and printed holders and left with lots more!
You name it, they’ve got it!
Bonus– it’s not as expensive as you think a specialty store would be!

When I tell my friends that I’m going to the happiest place on earth, they know I don’t mean Disneyland — I mean Scoop & Save. This is a Baker’s paradise!
You want sprinkles? Food colourings? Lustre dust? EDIBLE gold leaf? They’ve got it, along with cookie cutters, Fat Daddio’s baking pans, all manner of boxes & boards for cakes, a zillion decorating tips for icing, EVERYTHING you need to make cookies or a wedding cake and everything in between. Classes too.

It’s so awesome here! They have EVERYTHING!!! And everything is a decent price, proabably the same $ you’d pay to make it yourself (e.g. Fondant) except you can buy however much you want and the quality is better! The ONLY thing is: their fancy tools are WAY overpriced. I personally think it’s way to much for they can do. But other than that… this place is a cake makers’ «heroin».

Holy crap does this place have a lot of crafty decorating stuff.
I just went in to get a few cookie cutter patterns, and was amazed. Of course this isn’t the type of place I frequent, but if you want a guys opinion of a non-​guys place, this is pretty awesome.
You can find any sort of candy/​sprinkles to decorate cookies/​cakes with!

every time we have a family birthday we rent one of their cake pans. Great selection. One stop shopping because they have all the decorating supplies needed to complete the job.
Their Christmas gingerbread house display featuring the Olympics was beautiful. Real works of art done by the staff,

I’ve officially left Michaels for Scoop n’ Save! At first, I thought this was a kitty litter store but its a cake decorating shop!
This store is a cake designers dream. They have EVERYTHING and the staff are amazingly nice and helpful.
Not only do they carry many different brands and a variety of lots of things, they are way cheaper than Michael’s and you don’t have to wait for the 40% off ONE ITEM coupon every third week.
I think they might even hold classes here but I have to double-​check.
Can’t wait to go back allll the way to Langley to visit this place again. It was worth it!
