I moved from Langley to Vancouver four years ago, and still visit Cielito Lindo when I’m in town. Everything on the menu is excellent and very affordable. Amazing Tortilla Soup and Homestyle Fish. It’s also great to support a small family business. Give them a try!

Having walked by this little restaurant many times we finally decided to try it out. No tacky or fancy decorations here, just good fresh home made authentic food. We were seated and had our appetizers, a side of nachos and guacamole with our drinks, brought out within 10 minutes of arriving(if you are familiar with the ‘other’ Mexican restaurant a few doors over this is unheard of there). As a starter we had a medium bowl of the tortilla soup(delicious!), and I had the Home Style Fish(Sea Bass) Special, and my wife had the Veggie Enchiladas as our entrée. All the food came with lots of flavor and was very well prepared, and the portions were great. While the menu might not be as large as the Mexican restaurant a few doors over, the quality of the food and service makes the whole experience so much better. Oh and they serve breakfast too — they open at 11am(more of a brunch time, but they call it breakfast), and while we were there it was quite busy with take-out as well. We will definitely be back!

Nice find! Totally authentic and delicious, The margarita is killer, the quesadilla and guacamole a nice combination of garlic and spices. My husband had the pork enchiladas and they were gobbled up in no time. Little hole in the ground but full within 10 minutes of us getting there for lunch

This is small operation. Food is made to order by owner and she delivers to the table. It is neat experience for me. I have ordered chicken burrito [8/=]. It was quite delicious and filling. Came with side salsas and sour cream. On request they provide extra hot source which is quite good. I am going to visit again to try something new.

After reading the rave reviews on here I figured I’d give this place a try. It is a hole in the wall: the paint combo on the wall clashes and you can see places where it’s been torn off, the bright fluorescent lights above the tables are a bit… too bright… and you would think they would have chosen record album covers on the wall that more Canadians /Americans could recognize. The silverware was not on the table. It didn’t come out until our food came out. First of all it took a long time to get drinks and chips and salsa. We were surprised we had to pay for the chips and salsa. My friend clearly stated that we were paying separate checks. The salsa was average. I ordered a giant burrito from the veggie side of the menu. It had rice, beans and guacamole. It was reasonable, not well-seasoned and the tortilla seemed old: I had a tough time sawing through it, even with a serrated knife. We ordered coke, and even though the Mexican coke version(real sugar, not corn syrup!!) was prominently displayed on the counter, they brought brought out the canned stuff(complete with the high fructose corn syrup) My friend ordered a cheese quesadilla, spanish rice, and guacamole. We were both surprised at how light the green color was on the guac. My friend disliked it intensely. I tasted it and felt the same. I took it back and told them my friend didn’t like it. They told me that they added sour cream to it. They were totally defensive about it, saying this is how they make it, as if it’s something normal. They could have just said«I am sorry your friend did not like it» but there was no apology. Bland food and minimal service. Pretty disappointed. The place is a hole in the wall, minus the charm a true hole in the wall is supposed to have. It tasted like hospital food!

This is a bit of a hole in the wall, but I suggest not passing it by! If you’re shopping down Fraser Hwy way, stop in for some noms! A note to the small of stomach though. The giant burritos live up to the name. Good and fresh ingredients, simple Mexican fare, and they have a good selection of Jarritos to wash it down with. They make a lovely horchata to boot.

Excellent Mexican/Salvadorian food. Not fancy, but incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. I come here with work groups, family… Whatever excuse I can come up with to eat here! Their homemade hot sauce is full of flavour, the Horchata like dessert in a cup, the Chorizo nice and spicy… Really, there is really no reason not to eat at Cielito Lindo! Good Mexican food is tough to find in Canada, but you sure can find it here!

I have come to this place a few times and every single time it is really good food very authentic at a very reasonable price. The guy who owns the place is really friendly and is always willing to chat. It seems to me like it’s a family run business and I really like that. So like I said good food good price is definitely stop in if you’re in the area!

This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, especially considering it’s next to a larger Mexican restaurant but it’s great. The décor could use a little work, but the food is delicious and it comes really quickly.

Cielito Lindo Mexican Restaurant, Langley, B.C. Return visit from last year and they’ve gotten even better! Muy bueno ! Nice renovation, great service, great prices, even better fare. Can’t order a bad item! Enjoy your value-priced entrée with a Jarritos mexican soda! If your jonesin’ for authentic latin/El salvadorian eats, this is one of the best, if not THE best this side of the Fraser. So saddle up your burro and head for Cielito Lindo,.just like the song, it’s a classic…

Just had dinner and am so happy we gave this place a try. We LOVE to make our own Mexican food, so we are pretty hard to please when we eat out, but this place did not disappoint. The guacamole was very nice, and portion size was reasonable. I had the two enchiladas, one chicken one beef. Both were very tasty and covered in cheese. The pico portion was very small but fresh with just the right heat to it. So glad I ordered a side of guacamole and sour cream as there was none on the plate. The re-fried black beans came with sour cream on but no cheese, and they were a bit runny for my taste, the rice was nicely cooked but a bit bland. All said, this was a good price and tasty. I will go back to try something else.

Still awesome in Langley! I go to Cielito Lindo fairly often, as much as once a week. I am never disappointed, the food is always great, and the portions are sizable. And rum and coke for $ 4! Went today and couldn’t help but note, the«Super Nachos» were $ 8.50, and came with guacamole and shredded beef, compare that with the place I went yesterday, Southpoint Pub, nachos without guac or beef, $ 16… It is still quite small and nondescript, but way better than any other Mexican in Langley/Surrey so head on out here and give it a try.

It’s hard to find good authentic Mexican food here in Langley… Again, thanks to fellow Unilocalers, I decided to check this place out… It definitely wasn’t what I expected as I walked up to it. Tiny little place in old Langley. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about eating here, but tried it anyway to see what the hype was about… I ordered the Aztec soup(based on Unilocalers reviews) and my hubbie had the giant chicken burrito– both ok. Not as authentic as I like it, but EH for the price. Based on what I have seen and tried here, I can’t say that I will return. FYI: The Giant burrito, isn’t as giant as I thought it would be.

Yum! I only tried a burrito but it was huge and delicious. I was so full after and it was only $ 6.75. I would like to try the pupusas next time(El Salvadorian). The menu has a good selection and there is a section for vegetarian dishes, which is nice. However it would be nice if the dishes offered something more than just beans and cheese, like maybe some veg in addition. My only complaint was that the horchata they make uses real milk rather than rice milk. I ordered one but when I saw her take the milk out of the fridge to make it I cancelled my order. Too much dairy for me. I like horchata because I can usually drink it without problems. Too bad. Overall, a nice little place that deserves a visit. I hopefully will be back.

I was out in Langley last weekend going for a weekend drive and needed to stop for lunch. I will admit that if it weren’t for the coupon I had I probably wouldn’t have stopped here but I am glad that I did. It is a hole in the wall and there is a competitor down the street but what I liked was that it wasn’t strictly Mexican fare. There was some variety and the owners were obviously Central/South American so you know you are getting something close to authentic. I had the Enchiladas which were very good. It came with rice and beans for $ 8.95 which is reasonable! I can’t remember what my companion had but what ever it was it also came with the Aztec soup which I had half of. It was FANTABULOUS. I want the recipe so i can make it myself. The service was also pleasant and efficient. If I am out that way again I will definitely be back. They are well worth it.

A hole in the wall Mexican place that I stumbled upon when I was out in Langley for an X-ray. There is a bigger competitor down the street but I like to support the out of the way places. This place didn’t disappoint. Sure for about $ 8 they could’ve given me more food — but it was SUPER tasty. I got enchiladas — one chicken — one beef with the spicy green sauce(which wasn’t that spicy but was tasty). That with a side of rice and beans. I could’ve had four more enchiladas, but I can always eat more. Cash or Debit only.
