We’ve had a terrible experience every time we tried this place. The food is less than mediocre and the service is terrible every time. I ordered a Dark & Stormy off their drink menu, which is one of my favorite cocktails and they had no idea how to even make one properly. They have me this clear drink made with white rum and flat ginger ale. Not even close!

I went to this restaurant a few years ago because it got glowing reviews from friends and family. Awful service, awful food. I ordered a sandwich without mayonnaise. It came with mayonnaise. I sent it back and 15 minutes received the same sandwich with the mayonnaise scrapped off the bun and filet. Unfortunately I had to send it back again, and in the meantime caught a point and scowl from one of the kitchen cooks, as we could see into the kitchen from where we were sitting. By then everyone else had finished eating. We paid and I got a Styrofoam container with a piece of dry meat in between two pieces of bread. No toppings. No apologies were made and I paid full price. Obviously I have not been back since nor do I ever plan to.

My wife and I stopped here because we didn’t want to drive into Victoria after a long day of traveling. The food was great– I had a mushroom burger that was perfect and tasty. Even the salad was top notch. I paired it with a house brewed Rye Pale Ale– also very good. My wife and I loved the décor, the vibe, and the classic rock music that was not too loud despite other grumpy reviewers. The place was packed for a retirement party, and a poker club had the back room full of players. In spite of the full restaurant, the servers were great and very attentive. I would definitely come back.

Stopped there to catch an early Canucks vs Jets game(Canucks lost 5 – 4 and may have helped the Jets make the playoff). We ordered a couple drinks and a small Nacho. I am glad we ordered the small one because it was huge. I was thinking $ 14 for a small Nachos was a little much but now I understand why. The Nachos came in a very large rectangular basket with a large cup of salsa and another one of sour cream. The two of us could not finish the«small» Nachos! There was plenty cheese, olives, tomato… etc. on the Nachos. I should mention our waitress was pretty attentive as well(sorry I forgot her name but she had a few tattoos on her arm)

Went there for the breakfast brunch buffet. The food was pretty decent. Sadly there were no desserts(who doesn’t look forward to demolishing a buffet desert trey?). The service was polite but useless. After they brought the first drinks(that’s about all they have to do at a buffet besides collect the bill) there were no refills on water or coffee even after we asked. I’m not sure I’ll be rushing back there again, but I wouldn’t say no if I was invited.

The customer service here is amazing. They had our order mixed up, but were quick to correct it. Definitely check this place out if you want good portions for a great price.

We came to this pub for late lunch because of the Unilocal reviews. I am happy to say that the reviews were true. The pub was easy to find. The décor was almost like being inside a log house, but a little run down. It has a really nice screened in deck but the only bad part to it was keeping the door open and let in bugs which flew around us and our food. The music was very loud, maybe in the evening and night it can be that loud, but during the day it was super loud with hardly anyone in there. I had the loghouse chicken burger and it as fantastic! Very tasty and cooked perfectly. I am not one who likes cheese on my burgers, and this one had two, but it was great! The portion was large and I couldn’t finish it. Both fish and chips dishes were excellent as well, the fish was crispy not overly oil soaked as some places. The Halibut Salad was great as well and the portion was perfect. They do have very little for gluten free if that is something you’re looking for. You can order a burger with a gluten free bun. Our waitress was super nice and from the Okanagan like we are! I would definitely recommend this place.

I don’t know what’s going on at this place? I have been going here for eight years my last two visits have solidified that it’s time to move on. Last Friday evening about 6:00PM I met a friend for supper. We were told that there were no tables available because they needed to remove some and make room for the band. Here is a thought does the band pay your bills? or do the customers! so you take out four tables and leave customers to sit at those stupid stools yup that’s a good time! The canned music was so loud I could not have a conversation without saying what? every sentence it was so annoying. When supper came we were looking forward to their signature dish the«log house burger» the fries were nothing but a pile of end bits it was like why even bother how could the kitchen even send this out. This pub caters to the blue collar worker, after a 12 to 16 hr day when you go to the effort to go to the pub and sit down to a meal that the cooks and waitresses don’t care enough to vet and just serve it to you with no regard for the hard work you put in to pay for it is like, you know what why don’t you just spit on my food and complete the insult. There are enough other pubs like the 6 Mile, 17 Mile pub, Mychosine Café that appreciate your patronage and you can hear yourself talk after all isn’t that why we go out to dinner so we can sit and visit. This ones a pass save your hard earned money and go to White Spot.

The Loghouse Pub is simply charming! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the giant carved gorilla, the Loghouse Pub welcomes you. The menu is varied and has a few hard to find items like a delectable Monte Cristo sandwich. They have a full bar and a decent wine selection. The French fries were hot and a perfect accent to our meal. Our waitress was really nice and really friendly. The front of the menu has the history of the place and if that’s not enough to wet your historical appetite, a stroll around the bar will give you a history in pictures. Start at the back of the bar and work your way around clockwise. The photos are fascinating! So, the next time you’re in Langford and need a bite to eat, stop in at the Loghouse Pub for food, drink and a step back through time. Don’t forget to hug the gorilla! TIP: They have karaōke every Monday night!

The Loghouse has some of the most amazing pub fare going. The Baked French Onion Soup screams homemade and the Blue Crab and Shrimp Cakes are simply divine and together they are a full and satisfying meal. With the Blue Crab and Shrimp Cakes comes an apple ginger jicama slaw that shouldn’t be treated as just another garnish, it totally rocked. The hummus in the Grilled Pita 3 Dip is a little too garlicky(if that’s even a word), but the roasted chipotle pepper dip more than makes up for it. I was a guest at a large table and must say the servings my table mates received were equally as large and no complaints were heard. Especially from those ravenously consuming the Striploin Kabob Salad. More than just food, The Loghouse Pub has a warm glowing welcome to it. Like a small town without the coalminers it was truly a neighborly experience. The band playing old southern rock was awesome and despite the mass crowd the service was with a smile and consistent throughout the night. I recommend The Loghouse Pub to anyone looking for exquisite food to accompany their cold beer.
