History

Established in 1976.

In the summer of 1976, Bob and Pat had an in-​ground swimming pool installed in their back yard by a local Victoria company. The company was unorganized, took forever, and made a lot of mistakes that had to be fixed by Bob as it went along. Bob and Pat spent 51 hours of their time fixing the problems created by the installer.

The pool turned out OK, only because they made it so themselves. They also ran into problems with pool sanitization, and ended up going to learning seminars in Vancouver to understand pool water chemistry.

This prompted Bob to start his own pool business as a back yard hobby, even though they both had full time jobs. Bob started installing in-​ground pools, and selling the program to keep them clean from his home in Victoria BC. Pat tested water, kept the books, and answered the phone. The business grew over the years, by word of mouth from their happy customers.

Spas were added later, and the first store was opened in March 1988 in Langford, just west of Victori
