Grog’s Pub & Grill

Great place and service!!!
This place is hands down the best in the Grand Bend area!!! They have a great variety of choices on the menu.
The pizza looks fantastic as many tables around us were enjoying it.
We had their famous wings and they were delicious. Happy to see that they cater to the kids too wih a kids menu.
We went early (4:30 pm) on a Saturday. By the time we left their was a wait list for seating.

I had the large panzerotti with pepperoni, tomato, mushroom, onion and black olive. It was baked to perfection. Not like your traditional very heavy doughy panzerotti. This was thin light dough filled with great fresh fillings. I also had a side salad with their house sundries tomato dressing. It was delicious.

To be perfectly honest, I went in to this restaurant expecting to be disappointed. I have had some terrible dining experiences in the Grand Bend area. It’s touristy so I feel like most restaurants don’t even try; they know people will still eat there.
I was pleasantly surprised when my food here turned out to be excellent! If you are staying at the Pinery or somewhere in the Grand Bend area, make the short drive out to Grog’s if you want a good meal.
My husband and I split an appetizer of shrimp scampi which came with 6 good sized shrimp, covered in garlic butter, onion and a layer of melted, toasty cheese. They were excellent! Very rich and flavorful.
For our main course, we split 20 wings which we ordered «naked» with Franks Red Hot on them and ranch on the side to dip. The wings were great — not too big and not too small either. Even without breading they had a great flavor and were nice and meaty. I can’t speak for the other flavors but the Franks /​ranch combo is divine!
The service was great and we had no complaints. As a heads up, pop comes in cans so there’s no free refills.
Next time we camp at the Pinery we will definitely eat here again!

This is a sleeper of a really nice bar and restaurant. The pizza is hand tossed with only the freshest ingredients and tastes fantastic. Grog’s has the rep of serving the finest wings in the area accompanied with awesome fresh salads. The friendly staff always goes the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is fantastic. Grogs is always worth the drive to enjoy a great pub atmosphere.
